The NFL got its fairy tale ending but it wasn’t looking good early on for Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s Super Bowl game.
With his pop music megastar girlfriend Taylor Swift in the stands at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas after jetting in from an overseas concert, the star tight end flew into a rage early in the contest when he melted down over a decision by Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
After being taken out of the game on a play when running back Isiah Pacheco coughed up the ball as the Chiefs were looking to put points on the board early in the second quarter, Kelce charged Reid, shoving the mild-mannered 65-year-old coach and furiously screaming in his face in front of a national television audience that will likely be the biggest of the year.

The video of Kelce and his intimidating conduct toward a man who he towers over and is over thirty years younger than went viral on X, with users adding their commentary including a warning for Swift that there could be a price to pay in a continued romance with the volatile player who appears to have a tendency to fly off the handle.
“Taylor, my darling, my dove, my lamb, this is a big red flag,” wrote one user.
And just like that I’m suddenly less excited about Travis Kelce. You don’t get to ape up someone all aggressive like just because you’re frustrated.

“I bet Taylor Swift is terrified of his rage. Has there been any police reports filed?” Catturd asked.

The emotional explosion by “Mr. Pfizer” became an instant meme with X users adding their own commentary on what will likely be an iconic image of the unhinged, crimson-faced Kelce screaming in Reid’s face.

“Travis Kelce just walked up and hugged Andy Reid. Reid patted him on the back,” wrote Mike Jones of the sports outlet The Athletic, suggesting that there were no lingering hard feelings between the two.
The Chiefs would go on to make a stirring comeback in a game that until the late stages lacked fireworks, winning their second consecutive title in overtime by a score of 25-22 and giving the world the big payoff of Kelce and Swift enjoying their “Super Bowl smooch” as confetti rained down on the champions.

After the game, both Kelce and Reid downplayed his unsportsmanlike conduct and physical assault on the coach.
“Ah, you guys saw that? I’m a keep that between us unless my mic’d up tells the world,” joked Kelce, who would play a key role in the win with nine catches for 93 yards. “I was just telling him how much I love him.”
“He keeps me young,” Reid said. “He tested that hip out. He caught me off-balance – normally I get him a little bit but I didn’t have any feet under me.”

The Chiefs will seek to become the only team in NFL history to win three titles in a row at next year’s Super Bowl which will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA.
