An FBI special agent was reportedly carjacked at gunpoint in Washington, D.C. this Wednesday afternoon, prompting laughter from conservatives.
“According to D.C. Police, officers were called to the 100 block of 12th Street NE — close to Lincoln Park — around 3:45 p.m. for a carjacking. The stolen vehicle has been recovered, D.C. Police said, and was found in the 1000 block of 15th Street SE about 25 minutes later, at 4:10 p.m,” according to local station WRC.
“The victim, a federal agent, reported two suspects took their vehicle,” the D.C. Police said to the station.
Nothing else is known about the two suspects or the involved FBI agent.
Meanwhile, the FBI’s Washington field office confirmed everything in a statement.
“At this time, we can confirm that an FBI employee was carjacked on the afternoon of November 29. The vehicle was recovered, and the FBI Washington Field Office and the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force are investigating,” they said.
As noted earlier, this carjacking prompted massive laughter and finger-wagging from conservatives:
I’m sure it was a “mostly peaceful” carjacking.

Probably on his way to a school board meeting

The carjacking is probably Russian disinformation.

Surely they’ll launch an investigation into white supremacy and people saying mean things on the internet.

Maybe if they stopped going after parents attending school board meetings, they’d be better at their actual jobs.

Why the mockery? Because conservatives feel the FBI has become a politically motivated organization that focuses on all the wrong things, such as harassing Catholic families, arresting dissenting parents, and rooting out so-called “misinformation.”
For example, it was recently learned that a traditional Catholic family “was allegedly ‘dragged out of their home at gunpoint, handcuffed and locked in a van’ earlier this year after the FBI ‘goaded’ their 15-year-old son to post ‘offensive memes’ online,” as reported by Debra Heine of American Greatness.
“The FBI’s aggressive ‘investigation’ only resulted in a misdemeanor conviction against the boy for breach of peace, but financially devastated the family with substantial legal expenses,” Heine reported Tuesday.

Similarly, last year the FBI performed a SWAT raid on the home of Mark Houck, a pro-life author and father of seven who runs a nonprofit that offers sidewalk counseling outside abortion clinics in Philadelphia.
Why did the FBI raid his home? Because the prior year Houck committed the alleged crime of defending himself and his eldest son against a zealous pro-abortion activist.
According to Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie, while out sidewalk counseling in 2021 with their eldest son, he and the son were harassed by said activist.
“On several occasions when Mark went to sidewalk counsel last year, he took his eldest son, who was only 12 at the time. For ‘weeks and weeks,’ a ‘pro-abortion protester’ would speak to the boy saying ‘crude … inappropriate and disgusting things,’ such as ‘you’re dad’s a f-g,’ and other statements,” LifeSite News reported last year.
“Repeatedly, Mark would tell this pro-abortion man that he did not have permission to speak to his son and please refrain from doing so. And ‘he kept doing it and kind of came into [the son’s] personal space’ obscenely ridiculing his father. At this point, ‘Mark shoved him away from his child, and the guy fell back.’”
“He didn’t have any injuries or anything, but he tried to sue Mark,” according to Ryan-Marie.
Thankfully, the case was reportedly thrown out of court. But that, sadly, was not where the story ended.

Led by Attorney General Merrick Garland, the Biden DOJ decided to intervene and file its own charges against Houck. The DOJ specifically charged Houck with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act as per an alleged “attack of a patient escort.”
And then, with a warrant in hand, the FBI conducted a raid on Houck’s home in front of his seven children.
It’s actions like this that have conservatives peeved with the FBI. Plus, an FBI special agent getting carjacked offers even more evidence that the city’s Democrat policies are destroying it.
“In 2023 thus far, 906 carjackings have occurred, compared to 439 last year, Metropolitan Police Department statistics show. Many of the victims have been held at gunpoint, with guns involved in over three-quarters of the crimes,” WRC notes.
