A badass Los Angeles-area mother fearlessly rammed her Mercedes-Benz SUV into a fleeing burglar’s vehicle on Saturday.
Identified by OC Media as an immigrant from Dagestan, the mother was out getting coffee a little before noon that afternoon.
According to CBS News, she was at one point driving while having a phone conversation with her own mother, who was at their home with her three kids, when the burglars arrived.
“All of a sudden, her mom started screaming, ‘Help, help, help,'” the mother’s husband, David, told CBS News. “They jumped the front gate, they came to the back to probably break the sliding door to go in, and they faced my mother-in-law, and they ran away.”
Hearing her mom scream on the phone, the mother reportedly performed a U-turn with her Benz and sped back home just in time to catch the burglars trying to drive off. Then she rammed them:

The burglars ran away on foot after she rammed their vehicle, but in doing so, they left a treasure trove of evidence for the police.
“Officers who arrived at the scene found burglary tools inside the abandoned vehicle, including toolkits, walkie-talkies, forged documents under various names, and several license plates, which led law enforcement to suggest that the attempted robbery may have been part of a series of crimes,” OC Media reported.
“According to neighbors, the same Honda had been seen near another house several days earlier, which had also been targeted by burglars,” the reporting continued.
David, the husband, believes they were a team of “professional” thieves based on their decision to cut his home’s WiFi and Ring access before attempting their failed burglary.
The California State Police has reportedly launched its own investigation into the burglary.
The family remains traumatized over what happened.
“I can’t go somewhere [anymore], because I know my mom is here and my kids are here,” the mother told local media. “I can’t even go into a restaurant with my friends, because it is really scary.”
David added that he’ll only feel safe once the burglars are apprehended.
“Imagine, if they can catch those guys, then they’re going to cut a lot of robberies that are going to happen,” he said.

Something similar happened last year in Baltimore when a team of burglars broke into a restaurant, grabbed a safe, and then tried to make a run for it.
After waking up to a call from his security company that morning, Papi’s Tacos owner Charlie Gjerde rushed to his restaurant, only to find men with ski masks trying to rob him.
He watched and called 911 as they grabbed a safe and then made a run for it to their vehicle. But before they could take off, he rammed them.
“As soon as [the burglars] got to the car, I heard a shot fired,” Gjerde recalled to local station WBAL. “And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. This is crazy.’ I don’t know if I just panicked or whatever. I just floored it, and I just smashed into him.”
And then he rammed them again two more times, prompting them to try to flee on foot. Gjerde, meanwhile, had other things on his mind.
“The first thing I thought is my wife is going to kill me for doing that,” he said.

According to Gjerde, even the police were surprised.
“The police were like, ‘What were you thinking?'” he recalled. “I was like, ‘I don’t even know.’ I honestly don’t know.”
