U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) wears his love for the homosexual community on his sleeve like a rainbow-colored badge of honor, that’s why it was a stunner when he pulled a $1 million earmark from the massive spending package.
Or did he? There is confusion and finger-pointing over the yanking of the money for the Philadelphia-based William Way LGBT Community Center after it was revealed that the facility hosts regular events for BDSM and kink enthusiasts.
The earmark, one of many tucked inside of a government housing and transportation bill, is one of the components of the latest pork-stuffed monstrosity omnibus bills used by lawmakers to fleece taxpayers.
In a panicked reaction to the attention that the center received after the popular Libs of TikTok X account revealed some of the sordid activities that take place there, the funding was stripped out by Fetterman’s office, something that the man in the hoodie now denies that he had any part in.
“The Senate Appropriations Committee released a spending bill which is being voted on tomorrow,” the post read. sharing a screenshot of the sort of sexual depravity that taxpayers would have been on the hook for.

“It includes $1M of your tax dollars to go towards renovating an LGBTQ Center in PA which boasts rooms to try BDSM and s*x f*tishes and hosts BDSM and s*x k*nk parties. There’s even a k*nk party happening there this weekend!” LOTT wrote, adding, “Absolutely sick that our tax dollars would fund this!”
The screenshot showed information for what’s called “The Aviary” which is described as an “improvisational interactive theater night focusing on ontological deconstruction of the political theory concepts of Contract and Domination” which “often utilizes concepts that involve fetish, as well as BDSM.”
Among the “Rules of Play” are that participants “must get permission from a DM to play with fire or puncture the skin” and that “genitals and anuses must remain covered in non-play areas.”
“After further review, I am writing to withdraw my support and request the removal of the below Fiscal Year 2024 Congressionally Directed Spending project included in the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies appropriations bill,” read a Tuesday letter to Senate Appropriations Committee chair Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) that bore Fetterman’s signature.
But the plot soon thickened.
“Let me be clear, that wasn’t my decision. This was a perfunctory letter that was issued by the staff. I was not part of that process,” the Pennsylvania Democrat said while throwing staffers under the bus, NBC News reported.
Fetterman later issued a statement without blaming his staff, but Libs of TikTok.

“I’m new here, but I wasn’t aware that Democratic values and priorities are dictated by Libs of TikTok,” he said.
“Republicans in the House voted to strip funding from two LGBTQ Centers in Pennsylvania BECAUSE they were LGBTQ centers,” Fetterman said in July 2023. “They *literally* struck all programs with the letters ‘L G B T and Q.’ This is just flat out, mask-off bigotry.”
