Fetterman mocked for trolling Comer with ‘unbelievably cringe’ impeachment day gift

On a day when Democrats made fools out of themselves with their impeachment inquiry hearing antics, Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) trolled House Republicans with a lighthearted prank that left himself wide open for ridicule.

Following the crushing disappointment when the Senate unanimously agreed to a formal dress code, it’s understandable that the chamber’s resident slob would be looking for a way to boost his spirits.

On Thursday, the unkempt Keystone State galoot and his staff procured a familiar blue and white carton that they adorned with a handmade sign and then left outside the office door of the House Oversight Committee for Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) and his GOP fellow lawmakers and then posted images of the case of Bud Light to social media.

“This morning, I directed my staff to deliver a gift to congratulate and salute Representative Comer and his Team America™️ squad as they embark on their historic impeachment journey,” wrote the senator who was clad in his standard homeless vagrant attire on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“To Rep. Comer & his squad. A profile in courage can make a guy thirsty. Congratulations, this Bud’s for you. Hugs & kisses: John Fetterman,” read the sign on the most boycotted beer brand in the land, along with a hugs and kisses emoji.

It may have been a real knee-slapper to Fetterman and his staff but it soon became obvious that the only one who got laughed at was him as X users popped the top and poured out a torrent of mockery.

Fetterman’s prank comes after his Senate colleagues reacted to the backlash over the special treatment given to him by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to allow him to dress like a slob on the floor when they came together in a bipartisan show of unity to restore proper decorum to the upper chamber.
