Fetterman stuns AGAIN when he calls out White genocide in South Africa

U.S. Sen. John Fetterman continues to surprise as it becomes increasingly clear he is not the progressive lawmaker many of his supporters thought he was when they voted for him.

The hulking Pennsylvania Democrat has already admitted he is on the “right side” of some issues that Democrats may prefer he not be, but his vociferous support of Israel in the wake of the Hamas attack in October and on other hot-button issues have turned things on their head.

In a short video clip on social media, Fetterman called out South Africa in remarks he was making about genocide.

Though it is unclear from the posted clip what the extent of the speech was, the senator’s demand that South Africa “sit this one out” earned hearty applause from his audience and even got a nod from Elon Musk on X.

Fetterman may have been referring to the nation accusing Israel of genocide while urging the United Nations to order a stop to the military actions of Israel against Hamas.

The Associated Press reported Thursday:

During opening statements at the International Court of Justice, South African lawyers said the latest Gaza war is part of decades of Israeli oppression of Palestinians.

The court “has the benefit of the past 13 weeks of evidence that shows incontrovertibly a pattern of conduct and related intention” that amounts to “a plausible claim of genocidal acts,” South African lawyer Adila Hassim told the judges and audience in a packed room of the Peace Palace in The Hague.

The country’s leaders were shredded by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“This is an upside-down world — the state of Israel is accused of genocide while it is fighting genocide,” he said in a video statement. “The hypocrisy of South Africa screams to the heavens.”

Fetterman’s heated remarks about South Africa come after the Democrat has taken an open and vocal stand on several issues recently, much to his colleagues’ chagrin.

In addition to voicing his support for Israel, he has pushed for embattled Sen. Bob Menendez to be removed from office and has called out the broken border and immigration policies under President Joe Biden’s administration.

His latest comment about South Africa caught the attention of social media users who weighed in with some interesting reactions of their own.
