Stroke-addled Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman (D) had no trouble mustering sarcasm when asked about the opening of an impeachment inquiry on the president.
“Ooo…”

The freshman congressman was stopped Tuesday as he traveled with his assistant, Luke Borwegen, en route to his office in the Russell Building not long after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) had announced the investigative process aimed at President Joe Biden. While the aide looked sincerely invested in moving on, Fetterman was jocular regarding the announcement.
After lumbering to a halt for a questioning reporter, the senator feigned surprise and concern over the breaking news and threw his hands up his head as he said, “Oh my God, really?”
“Oh my gosh. You know, it’s devastating,” he continued as he let out a laugh before holding out his hands and wiggling his fingers while letting out a mocking, “Ooo, don’t do it!”
“Please, don’t do it,” continued the senator as Borwegen ushered him away.
“Oh no, oh no,” he added while clutching his chest as they departed.
As had been reported, earlier that morning, McCarthy had addressed the public and announced, “I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct — a culture of corruption.”

Pertaining to allegations of influence-peddling from Biden, wherein it is believed his tenure as vice president was used to benefit his family in foreign business deals, the speaker noted, “These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption. They warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives. That’s why today I am directing our House committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.”
Fetterman was unabashed over his reaction to the inquiry announcement and even shared the video himself with a ghost emoji and the caption “oooOoooooOooo” before issuing a more formal statement that read, “Instead of wasting time on a bogus impeachment, maybe @HouseGOP should do something about child poverty–which has DOUBLED in the last year. They had a chance to extend these programs to keep our children fed & boost working families out of poverty. But they didn’t. Shameful.”

The candid video was well in line with previous remarks the senator had made when questioned on the possibility of impeachment the week prior. While speaking with Business Insider, he had said, “Go ahead and do it, I dare you. If you’re gonna keep threatening it, then go ahead, just do it.”
“It would just be like a big circlejerk on the fringe right,” he added after having made the same hands-to-head motion saying, “oooh, no, please, don’t.”
“Nobody would respect it,” charged Fetterman. “Everybody would know that it’s bullsh*t. It really would, it would diminish what impeachment really means.”
Reactions to the antics were, like the expressions of the aide, mixed with humor and concern.
Hilarious!

Notice the handler. The look on his face when Fetterman did the hand gestures. “oh shit, another PR mess for me to have to clean up.”
