U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s attendance at an event being held on the anniversary of the January 6 riot at the Capitol was flagged by a Florida Democrat.
Florida state Rep. Anna Eskamani was “hoping this was a joke” in her criticism of the Georgia Republican, calling her out on X in a post that had screenshots of an event in the Sunshine State scheduled for the third anniversary of the so-called “insurrection” of Jan. 6, 2021.
“Just another day in Florida where the local Republican Party in Osceola County is hosting an ‘anniversary’ event to mark January 6th and Marjorie Taylor Green is the ‘special’ guest,” Eskamani wrote, misspelling the congresswoman’s last name.

The event, hosted by the Osceola County Republican Party, is set to be held Saturday in Kissimmee, in central Florida just south of Orlando. Billed as a “book-signing” event, the invitation explains the tiered ticketing available, ranging from $45 to $1,000.
“General admission will receive a book and be able to hear MTG speak. VIPs will get their pictures with MTG and receive preferred seating during the speech. Super VIPs will be invited to a special private briefing on J6 and DC in a closed-door session,” the invitation reads.
Eskamani’s post naturally sparked meltdowns from fellow Democrats as the screenshot showed the “occasion” was listed as the “3rd Anniversary of Jan 6.”
This can only help democrats, this is absolutely ridiculous. Anna, make sure all the national media knows about this event.

Isn’t this in violation of the 14th amendment? Wouldn’t this be aid and comfort to insurrectionist? Also wouldn’t holding fund raisers to help them with legal fees also aid and comfort?

Eskamani’s criticism of the “’anniversary’ event to mark January 6th” was met with a reality check on social media.

The publisher’s description of Greene’s book, “MTG” says it is “the story of her incredible ascension from small town business owner to MAGA firebrand! Known for her humor and honesty, MTG offers a never-before-seen glimpse at her decision to give up private sector success for public service, her unfiltered views on the most important issues facing our nation, and the personal sacrifices that come with being ‘the most dangerous woman in Washington.'”
“We’re excited to invite you to an exclusive event with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene at WestgateResorts,” the invitation shared by Eskamani reads. “As a prominent MAGA leader, Congresswoman Greene is a staunch advocate for American priorities over foreign interests and special lobbying.”
“This is a rare opportunity to engage with a leading figure who believes in a government working for its people,” the text reads. “Join us in a meaningful discussion about our nation’s future.”
