Florida Dems lock themselves in a cage to protest Alligator Alcatraz and we’re here for it

On today’s episode of ‘Dems Doing Performative Nonsense,’ we have leftists locking themselves up.

The protests against everything related to President Donald Trump continue with Democrats voluntarily placing themselves in a cage to prove some kind of point about the cruelty of Alligator Alcatraz.

Look:

The photo, posted by Ian Jaeger, shows mostly older, white people enclosed in a small pen with a sign reading “Camp Cruelty: A US Immigration Detention Facility.” Outside are several people apparently dressed as immigration enforcement agents. It comes across as some sort of political masochist fan-fiction.

X users had a lot to say about the picture:

This is the latest in a long line of Democratic protests against Trump’s policies.

As BizPac Review previously reported, “thousands” of protesters gathered in Ohio to join hands in an eight-mile-long human chain to make a point to the administration.

“Protestors who spoke to The Dispatch had a long list of issues with the Trump administration. They spoke about cuts to Medicaid, the push for deportations and the camps built to house detainees, the Supreme Court, corruption, misinformation and much more,” The Ohio Dispatch explained in an article on the event. “According to a lengthy statement of values, organizers opposed cuts to national agencies, tax cuts for the rich and military aggression against Ukraine, and supported continued international aid to countries in need, Medicare and Social Security programs, climate change research and regulations and the rights of immigrants, among other causes.”

“Today is about democracy over a dictatorship,” shouted a woman identified as Brenda Taylor. “People ask, why didn’t they do something back in 1938, when everything was happening with fascism and Hitler? This is what we need to be doing. … It’s happening now.”
