The chairman of the Republican Party in Florida clapped back at Democratic criticism of the state’s redistricting plan, pointing out that it wasn’t a fight that the GOP started and calling out two big names who abused it to give their party a political advantage.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has spent the week talking trash in an attempt to bully Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and state Republican lawmakers into scrapping redistricting in the Sunshine State after voters in Virginia narrowly voted to allow a redrawn map that will allow Democrats to dominate Old Dominion if the referendum survives court challenges.
During an appearance on Fox News, Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power pointed out that it was former President Barack Obama and his hatchet man, former Attorney General Eric Holder, who “weaponized redistricting” to unfairly favor Democrats.
BREAKING: The Florida GOP Chair just CALLED OUT the truth about who’s actually behind the weaponized redistricting, and OF COURSE…

On Friday’s edition of “The Story” on Fox News, host Martha MacCallum posed the question to the Florida Republican about whether the redistricting efforts, which began in Texas, could be “risky” and actually put the GOP in a “more difficult position” in some congressional districts.
“Well, I think it goes back further than just Texas. I think it goes back to President Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder. They weaponized redistricting,” Power said, calling a spade a spade. “He created a political action committee going out and you’ve seen some aggressive gerrymanders in blue states, so we’re finally fighting back.”
“You look at what happened in Virginia,” he continued. They took a fair map and made it radically Democrat with only one person, one Republican in Congress, most likely in a state that President Trump took 48 percent.”
“What we’re looking at here Florida is basic, recent court cases allow us to go get rid of a Democrat Party-imposed map put in by the courts. The vestiges of those districts still exist in our map, and we’re gonna clean it up and make it fair, and when we have fair districts, they’re gonna elect Republicans,” Power said.
Obama was very hands-on in the scheme to rig Virginia for the Democrats.
Virginia! Today is the last day to vote in the redistricting referendum.
Make sure to vote YES.

“Hakeem Jeffries is like a school yard bully who beats you up and then threatens you not to tell anyone,” Power said in a statement earlier this week.
“If Democrats want to come to Florida and burn more of their donors’ money, we welcome it — because we will beat them again and again. They already dumped over $20 million into recent Florida special congressional elections and got crushed by double digits. Nothing has changed. Floridians have rejected their failed agenda, and they’ll do it again,” the statement read.
“We have already seen his maximum warfare, and it is like Hakeem Jeffries – weak,” Power said, mocking “Dollar Store Obama” who has vowed to campaign in Florida.
