Former Democrat Party advisor: Dems need a message beyond attacking Trump, ICE

As tensions with Iran reach a boiling point, former Democratic advisor Dan Turrentine appealed to his party to back President Donald J. Trump against the mullahs, instead of the same old failed strategy of constantly attacking the president.

Turrentine took a shot at Democrats’ silly “No Kings” rally last weekend during an appearance on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

“Our party is almost as divided, to some extent, as the Republican Party is right now, and I think they’d rather, unfortunately, be talking about ‘kings’ than talking about Iran right now,” he said.

“Israel is our ally. I mean, I know this issue has divided us for years here, the last couple of cycles between the Palestinians and the Israelis,” Turrentine continued. “But fundamentally, we have been opposed to Iran as a country now, going back to when they bombed the Marine barracks in the 70s or the early 80s.”

The former advisor admitted that Democrats have no real agenda other than opposing Trump.

“Our country should say… ‘We are with President Trump on this. If we’re going to go against the Iranians and try to knock out their nuclear program, it is to protect America,'” he added. “We don’t have an agenda right now, and winning campaigns focus on the real lives of real people with effective leaders and something positive to say, and we have none of the above.”

Turrentine also took issue with the anti-ICE protests, which he suggested are taking priority over bread-and-butter issues.

“The immigration rallies… you had some people protesting that ICE shouldn’t exist, some people protesting that he [Trump] took over the National Guard, some people protesting that we’re being too rough on the bad hombres, right? But no one was proposing ideas to solve the problems that people care about,” he insisted.

Democrats today are too busy fighting to protect criminal aliens from being deported, or for the right for children to surgically mutilate themselves due to a social contagion centered on gender confusion.

Hell, some are even marching in American streets in support of Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform, X:
