A former Obama White House adviser dropped a stunning and racist take on the black community while on CNN, and the network never blinked.
Ashley Allison, a former senior advisor for the Obama-Biden White House and the Biden-Harris campaign, said the quiet part out loud during an appearance on CNN, where she claimed O.J. Simpson “represented” the black community because the victims in his 1995 murder trial were “two white people.”
There was no pushback from the panel as Allison pontificated. Ryan James Girdusky, who was kicked off the network after making a “racist comment” on the air, weighed in on Allison’s remarks in a post on X where she eventually locked down her account.

At the time of Girdusky’s expulsion from CNN, the network had declared in a statement that there is “zero room for racism or bigotry at CNN or on our air.”
“It’s not like O.J. Simpson was the leader of the civil rights movement in his era,” Allison told the CNN panel during her appearance.
“He wasn’t a social justice leader, but he represented something for the black community in that moment, in that trial, particularly because there had been two white people who had been killed,” she continued, “and the history around how black people had been persecuted during slavery.”
“There was racial tension then, there is racial tension now,” Allison said in conclusion. “It might not be the backdrop of the Trump campaign, but until this country is actually ready to have an honest conversation about the racial dynamics from our origin story til today, we will always have moments like O.J. Simpson that manifest, and our country will always be divided if we don’t actually deal with the issue of race.”
Social media erupted over Allison’s blunt assessment as the CNN panel focused on the former NFL player who died on April 10, 2024.

Wow! She is insufferable and seems to have a deep seeded hatred for white people.

Allison also appeared to lock down her social media account following the CNN appearance.

The fact that she thought it was ok to say this at all, much less on television is just disgusting.
