Former Obama spox tells Megyn Kelly he’s ‘so sad’ that she fell for Russian disinformation about Doug Emhoff

The former deputy press secretary for former President Barack Obama is facing mockery for lecturing conservative commentator Megyn Kelly about supposedĀ Russian disinformation.

The lecture came in the middle of a war of words between Kelly and Tim Miller, a Never Trumper MSNBC stooge.

Miller started the war by claiming Kelly would never send her children to a school run by former President Donald Trump, and that she’d send her kids to a school run “by a median woke liberal” first.

Kelly rebutted Miller’s claim by pointing out that she pulled her kids out of school in New York City precisely because of its “woke” leftist bull.

At the end of her rebuttal, Kelly added, “Btw why didnā€™t you ask Doug Emhoff about the abuse allegs?”

She meant the credible accusations of sexual harassment and abuse against Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff that have been chronicled by independent media but completely ignored by the corporate propaganda press.

When Miller failed to address her question, she doubled down on her inquiry, and in doing so, she piqued the attention of former Obama Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton.

“Itā€™s so sad that your career is sunsetting in Russian disinformation – which has been widely reported about this story,” he tweeted. “Well not that sad. But still kind of disappointing.”

Look:

FYI, nobody, including even the corporate press, has claimed that the abuse allegations are Russian disinformation.Ā Emhoff for his part has claimed they’re just a “distraction.”

While Kelly for her part ignored Burton’s silliness, others rushed to fact-check him, including the Daily Mail reporter who broke the original story about Emhoff’s abusive ways.

Look:

Filed by the Daily Mail, the original report contained allegations from three unnamed friends of a woman who was once aggressively slapped by Emhoff, 59. Emhoff allegedly slapped the woman, his then-girlfriend, for flirting with a valet at a gala in 2012.

At the time that the report dropped last month, Kelly praised the Daily Mail for performing real journalism and slammed the corporate propaganda press for doing the opposite.

ā€œAny enterprising media would want to know the answer if this were somebody with a last name Trump or Vance,ā€ she said. ā€œIf this were a Republican, it would be leading every news channel. Reporters would go figure out what they had on their hands. No one has seemingly looked into this other than The Daily Mail.ā€

ā€œNow, the vetting begins by The Daily Mail, and God bless them for actually looking into these stories that other people think are too beneath them to check out. Although, these other ā€˜respectableā€™ news outlets wasted no time reporting on Stormy Daniels and whether she said Donald Trump wore a condom. That is apparently not beneath them,ā€ she added.

Maureen Callahan, a writer for the Daily Mail, meanwhile penned a column noting that between Emhoff and former President Donald Trump, only one of them has had his past scrutinized by the press.

ā€œThis is the man meant to stand in stark contrast to Trump, who certainly has his own issues with women,ā€ she wrote. ā€œBut only one of these men has been forensically investigated by the national media.ā€

ā€œOnly one of these men represents a ticket that, as his wife so often says, believes in the importance of ā€˜good valuesā€™, of being ā€˜honestā€™, of ā€˜not going backā€™ to a time when the plight of women was routinely ignored,ā€ she added.
