Tommy Vietor took to X to share a clip of Trump announcing the “cessation of sanctions against Syria in order to give them a chance at greatness.” While the move doesn’t come without criticism, people from both sides of the political aisle agree that it was the correct move to make.

When faced with criticism of his choice to applaud the president, the former Obama spokesperson didn’t back down.

“People that tweet ‘do better’ might be the most annoying humans on the internet. I don’t care if Syria offers Trump a 747 filled with Captagon. Getting rid of sanctions is the right thing to do. It’s ok to say it,” he assured his rabid critics.
