Kingsview Wealth Management’s Scott D. Martin was just trying to make a point about how out-of-control inflation has become, and wound up being branded a “legend” instead.
While discussing the topic with “Cavuto Coast to Coast” host Neil Cavuto, Martin announced that he had just eaten a meal at Taco Bell that had cost him $28. This shocked Cavuto and fellow guest Jonathan Hoenig, who seemingly couldn’t fathom how someone could spend that much money on one person’s lunch.

That’s crazy I’ve definitely never eaten $28 of taco bell in my car halfway through a hungover drive home pic.twitter.com/gDa9CKXizp

“I had a nice lunch at Taco Bell, cost me about $28 at Taco Bell for lunch,” Martin said, trying to illustrate his point.
“Wait a minute,” a baffled Cavuto cuts in. “You spent $28 at Taco Bell for just yourself?”
“For lunch. Yeah, it’s true,” Martin responded.
“That’s a lot of chalupas,” Hoenig chuckled.
Not long after the exchange took place, Twitter sent “$28 of Taco Bell” trending, and some of the responses are nothing short of hilarious:

You could order $28 of Taco Bell or you could do the right thing and make this yourself in 30 minutes. Your choice. https://t.co/qKP59uNyQP

Anyone who eats Taco Bell regularly knows that $28 of Taco Bell is a choice. Not inflation, not the economy, but a personal choice.
