Starting a call to “free Kamala already,” Fox Nation host Kellyanne Conway took a dig at the “sexists and misogynists” controlling the vice president’s scripted campaign.

In 2016, Conway became the first woman to run a successful U.S. presidential campaign as she led then-businessman Donald Trump to victory against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Now, after more than a month without a press conference or interview from Vice President Kamala Harris, she took a swipe at the nominee’s handlers who “don’t trust” her to “speak on her own.”
“There’s no question that they don’t trust Kamala Harris enough to speak regularly,” she told “Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt. “This is amazing to me. They’re so excited about a woman and the sexists and misogynists in her campaign are not allowing the woman to travel alone or speak on her own extemporaneously to members of the media.”
The assertion came as Conway knocked an apparent “staycation” from Harris who had disappeared from the campaign trail for five days after the Democratic National Convention had ended and was only resuming her public activity by doing a joint event in Georgia with her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
“Have a town hall, don’t be afraid to take questions. They can make it as friendly as the pep rally that was the Democratic Convention if they want to. But free Kamala already. Let her out. Let us hear from her,” she added.
Preempting the ridiculing of the Harris campaign, Earhardt showed a clip of Trump suggesting that his opponent was attempting to avoid any unscripted appearances before the American people as she reportedly pitched for changes to the debate rules that included hot mics and opening statements.
“They’re trying to get out if because she doesn’t want to debate,” said the GOP leader. “She’s not a good debater. She’s not a smart person. She doesn’t want to debate.”
In addition to swiping at the identity politics of the left, Conway also called out the campaign’s apparent riff on Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s classic on having to pass a bill before you can find out what’s in it. It now appears that Democrats would have to vote for their nominee before they can learn what her policies are as an Axios report said Harris’ senior advisers are now claiming there isn’t enough time before Election Day to put out “fully fleshed-out policy ideas.”
Some things were known and the Fox Nation host pointed out, “And, Ainsley, it’s, you know, let’s get past the laughs and the gaffes and get serious here. When she does tell us what her vision is, when she does promise these policies, that’s when she gets truly frightening: 65 percent estate and death tax — that’s gonna decimate family businesses up and down this country; 44 percent on capital gains, and then the unrealized gains being taxed. Donald Trump is preparing for this every single day by doing things like he does yesterday — facing the cameras, showing everybody the real people impacted at the border, of the groceries and gas prices — and she’s just, she’s not doing it.”
