Fruit Loops and cookies: Trump brings props, does the ultimate ‘show and tell’ on inflation

Former President Donald Trump is speaking to voters where they are, and that includes the TikTok generation.

While social media is generally considered to be a more left-leaning space to find information, Trump and his team are attempting to change that during the course of his campaign. That mission includes exposing the economic disaster that has resulted from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration.

The 16-second video features the former president pointing out how the prices of everyday goods, specifically the cost of food, have skyrocketed in recent years.

“Look at this, this is the cost of food, this is the cost of your basics, every single thing is up,” he says as the camera pans around the room to show groceries you might find in your own carts, flanked by charts showing their average increase.

“Eggs up 48 percent, cookies up 27 percent, look at what’s going on, butter up 31 percent, and this is just the beginning,” he says. “It’s a disaster!”

While progressives and the Biden administration attempt to pass the inflation buck on to “corporate greed” – a myth so easy to see through it was debunked by CNN – Americans know what’s really going on:
