Geraldo warns of ‘danger to America’ if Trump falls short in his 2024 election bid

While it’s early in the 2024 presidential cycle, Geraldo Rivera is already warning Americans that Donald Trump is an extreme boogeyman with mythical powers to fell America — the talking points sound as if the Fox News contributor spends more time watching rival cable news networks than his own.

With pearls in hand, Rivera took to Twitter to speculate what “mischief” private citizen Trump can inflict upon the U.S. should he lose his presidential bid. Rivera does a bit of fence riding though when he suggests a Trump win would not be dangerous because he “wasn’t a terrible president.”

“The danger of Donald Trump running for president is not if he wins (he wasn’t a terrible president and until his attempted coup he was even underrated). The danger to America comes if Trump again loses. Stymied twice by the system, what mischief would he be capable of inflicting?” Rivera tweeted.

The interesting choice of words here being “stymied twice by the system.”

An honest broker would have to admit that the media, Big Tech, and key figures in the U.S. intelligence apparatus considered it their moral duty to oppose Donald Trump in 2020. Is that the “system” Rivera is referring to?

Trump continues to insist the 2020 election was stolen from him, though he failed to convince any court and was unable to produce irrefutable evidence.

At the same time, the former president claims that ballot boxes were stuffed, citing Dinesh D’Souza’s movie, “2000 Mules.” Trump also points to the Twitter Files, which suggests the FBI clearly placed its thumb on the scale in the 2020 election by playing a key role in censoring reporting on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop from hell that called into question now-President Joe Biden’s role in his son’s dubious business dealings in China and Ukraine. There was also the manipulation of the pandemic in many states, where millions of unsolicited mail-in ballots flooded the playing field and state legislatures were circumvented in some cases to change laws to accommodate this flood of ballots.

Leave it to Geraldo to post a tweet that riles both the left and right — then again, that may be why piling on the Fox News personality is practically a national pastime.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
