‘Get to work’: Adam Carolla addresses Black people with fiery reparations comments

Comedian Adam Carolla has had it with talk of reparations for black Americans, demanding they “get to work” instead.

On Sunday’s episode of his podcast, The Adam Carolla Show, he directly addressed the black community and how the Democrats treat them like incompetent children who need everything handed to them in life.

Watch:

“Listen, Black people, you should be wildly insulted by Democrats constantly not thinking you can get ID, [that] everything is an attack on you,” he explained.

“We gotta do a meme where there’s a young Black child that thinks they’re gonna get reparations, and then at some point that meme just turns into someone who looks like Maxine Waters and they’re still waiting for their f*cking reparations. You’re not getting reparations, alright? Go f*cking get to work! That’s fine, but it ain’t comin’,” the comedian ranted.

“[Former President Barack] Obama would have done something for you if someone was going to do something for you. He’s not, he didn’t, he doesn’t care. He’s in Martha’s Vineyard right now, hanging out with white guys.”

“Yeah. The meme format you’re talking about is a Pawn Stars format where someone goes ‘I think I want to be able to buy a house, upward mobility’ and [Democrats] go ‘Best I can do is a fake accent,'” Carolla’s associate producer Andrew Hobson joked.

The topic was broached after Carolla mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, for donning a fake Southern accent, which the comedian referred to as “going full Kamala.”

“I have no idea what these people are talking about — ‘Behind,’ ‘Seat at the table,’ ‘Treat ’em with dignity’ — they just talk and they talk and they talk and then nothing ever happens. The reason nothing ever happens is that nothing can happen, because you have to do everything for yourself. So there’s a fundamental issue: politicians are saying we can do everything for you, but they can’t. Only you can do stuff for yourself here in the United States,” he said.

Unfortunately, as BizPac Review previously reported, AOC is currently leading the pack when it comes to potential 2028 Democratic presidential candidates. With the current surge of DSA candidates, it’s no surprise that someone with that backing would be in the lead, though it remains to be seen if her momentum can be maintained in the long run-up to the next election.

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took first place in a new poll of potential 2028 (mostly) Democratic presidential nominees.

But it gets worse for Harris.

While AOC sat at the top with 22%, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg came in a close second with 21%, according to the poll taken by the University of New Hampshire on Wednesday.

Harris hardly showed up with only 5% support while being bested by potential contenders, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders and Arizona Sen Mark Kelly.

But with Harris currently on what some are calling a comeback tour, it will be interesting to see if the Democratic Party chooses to back the young, socialist candidate or the veteran politician who served under former President Joe Biden.
