Narrative framing had social media circling back on the record of Jen Psaki and her peers as the MSNBC talking head cautioned Republicans ahead of their convention.
“GO TO HELL.”

The assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump that left 50-year-old Corey Comperatore dead — a former fire chief protecting his family — appeared to unite the GOP while leaving Democrats scrambling for a path forward.
One such attempt at finding a foothold saw President Joe Biden’s former White House press secretary on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” endeavoring to warn Republicans about “restoring civility” heading into the four-day nominating convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“One thing for all of us to remember is it may not feel paused tomorrow or Tuesday,” she said in response to NBC News Washington managing editor Carol Lee suggesting Biden’s re-election campaign had been brought to a standstill. “And part of that is because the convention is starting and unless the programming changes, the rhetoric and how the programming is set up is not actually calming the tone or restoring civility.”
“We’ll see if that programming changes, but if it stays the same, that is escalating it. It is not a civil approach to a convention,” argued Psaki.
Her take joined her pundit peers at ABC and CBS who’d similarly fell in line with an attempt to blame the GOP for their own fearmongering, doomsaying, and altogether unhinged coverage of Trump.
The MSNBC host leaned into those same veins as she attempted to present her peers and herself as potential victims as she scolded, “For anyone out there who has a platform who thinks the moment right now is to be political and attack the other party — you are feeding into the danger. You are making it more likely there’s retaliation. I’m incredibly scared. I’m scared for journalists. I’m scared for people who have public platforms of all parties.”
Reactions on social media showed the public hardly as forgetful as Psaki may have hoped as the onetime administration spokeswoman was slammed for being part of the problem.
“Jen Psaki said the Repubs have created a ‘tone,’ but it is Biden & Dems who have called Trump a Nazi, a rapist, a felon, a terrorist. They have called MAGA supporters domestic terrorists & cult members. Biden promised unity but instead incited violence & division. GO TO HELL,” asserted one user as The Spectator’s contributing editor Stephen Miller said, “She All Lives Mattered an assassination attempt on the Republican nominee.”

They likely caused the violence via rhetoric, but now they want to play the victim.
Disingenuous, and if you still trust the media, especially after yesterday, there is no saving you.

They are scrambling to downplay Trump and make it about anyone and everyone. At this point, it’s all they got left cause they will lose big time in Nov now

As a reminder, this was the same former press secretary who nodded along as New York Rep. Dan Goldman (D) asserted of Trump, “He’s not only unfit, he’s destructive to our democracy and he has to be eliminated,” before backlash led the lawmaker to apologize for his “poor choice of words” the next day.
