Golf glamor girl Paige Spiranac bemoans ‘hypocrisy’ after male baseball players pose shirtless

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac was left shredding double standards applied to the fairer sex by the group’s own members as she called out their swooning over dancing baseball players in a video viewed more than 13 million times.

Following her brief professional golf career, 30-year-old Spiranac turned to social media and golf instruction as a way to stay connected to the game. Her often evocative ensemble choices have routinely led to criticism and Saturday she turned it around with an exhibit from the wild world of “Banana Ball.”

Sharing a TikTok video posted by the Savannah Party Animals, the influencer captioned the shirtless performance by writing, “Interesting how different the reaction is online when men choose to show off their bodies. Not one comment on this video calling them attention whores or sluts. Just a ton of women saying baseball is now their favorite sport but those same women harshly judge me. The hypocrisy lol.”

The viral video, viewed over 13 million times on the Party Animals page, depicted a player from their team and the Savannah Bananas, formerly of the collegiate Coastal Plains League, facing off in a choreographed dance fight near the pitcher’s mound with no clothes worn above the waist save for a cowboy hat.

Some of the comments from the original video, taken as the teams faced off from Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Tulsa, Oklahoma, included women writing, “Incase my husband sees this — I’m just looking,” “Lord have mercy,” and “Uhmmmmm. How many times are we allowed to rewatch?”

As owner Jesse Cole told MLB.com last year on the inception of Banana Ball games, a Harlem Globetrotters-styled performative road show meant to keep competitions under two hours with a focus on the aspects of the sport that fans most enjoy, “From the beginning, it was simple: We exist to make baseball fun. The name of our company is Fans First Entertainment.”

Some of the rules include no bunting, no walks, and a showdown tiebreaker between the pitcher, batter and one fielder if needed. Incorporated into that were dance numbers and antics.

To Spiranac’s point, in April she had posted a video ahead of the Masters Tournament where she recounted her top five moments in a revealing sitting at the end of a bed. In response, one user decried the display and said, “This is so insulting to men. Don’t toy with our love of golf. You’re beautiful, yes. But you don’t need to be overt. Dress proper and u’d still be hot.”

Spiranac fired back with a follow-up clip, having removed the outermost layer of her outfit, and said, “So, what I’m gathering is that you hate boobs. But everyone loves boobs. Boobs are great!”

Previously, she had also defended college gymnast Olivia Dunne, whose social media following had brought the 20-year-old millions in sponsorship deals to the chagrin of others.

“I’m so sick of women belittling accomplishments of other women because it’s done differently than they would,” the golf influencer wrote. “@livvydunne is getting hate for making 2 million a year. She’s built a successful business (at 20) all while being a student-athlete. That’s bada**.”

Spiranac drew plenty of support for her position this go around as Twitter commented for her to “ignore the jealous haters.”
