GOP lawmakers rip vacationing Biden for ‘dereliction of duty’ as border crisis worsens

The situation at the southern border is rapidly deteriorating and President Joe Biden is once again on vacation, a “dereliction of duty” that has some Republican lawmakers fuming at the absentee leader.

While the border is being overrun by hordes of illegal aliens, the geriatric leader is acting like he doesn’t have a care in the world, jetting off to the balmy Caribbean where he will welcome the new year from St. Croix in the Virgin Islands where he and first lady Jill Biden are kicking back at the beachfront home of Democrat donors Bill and Connie Neville.

While the Bidens are living it up, Fox News reported that there have been a staggering 276,000 migrant encounters at the border in December so far as the invasion continues with not only illegal aliens but also deadly fentanyl pouring into a country that no longer places a high priority over enforcing its immigration laws under the current government.

“President Biden’s entire presidency has been a vacation from reality — 760,000 illegal immigrants have been encountered at the border since October,” a frustrated Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Ala.) told Fox News Digital.

“This is intentional and tells the American people everything they need to know. President Biden has no desire to stop it. He will continue to vacation while the border burns because this is the outcome he wants,” the chairman of the House GOP Policy Committee added.

“President Biden’s dereliction of duty is on full display while he sits on the beach and ignores the thousands of illegal immigrants invading our country daily,” Rep. Randy Weber (R-Texas) told the outlet. “America as we know it will be unrecognizable unless this administration comes to the table, starts enforcing the laws and stops the flow of illegal immigrants.”

Another Lone Star State Republican, Rep. Mark Alford, said that the president and his administration “should be ashamed” of the situation at the border.

“Every month, we continue to see record-breaking encounters at our southern border. Instead of pursuing solutions, Joe Biden is spending time on vacation,” the congressman told Fox News Digital. “Mr. President, the world is watching. They see that our borders are in shambles and your administration has zero intention of course correcting.”

Rep. August Pfluger (R-Texas) said that while Biden “might not see the problem from the beaches,” it’s pretty visible in Texas.

“Texans are enduring some of the highest numbers of illegal crossings on record while the White House and Senate Democrats refuse to take action,” Pfluger told the outlet.

“What a turd,” remarked one social media user of Biden’s vacationing in the Virgin Islands as the border is overrun by illegals.

In a move that also drew criticism, Biden proclaimed the month of January to be National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

“I call upon businesses, civil society organizations, communities of faith, families, and all Americans to recognize the vital role we play in combating human trafficking and to observe this month with appropriate programs and activities aimed at preventing all forms of human trafficking,” Biden said in a Friday statement.
