Republican House lawmakers are set to introduce legislation to cut off federal funding to groups that help illegal aliens enter the U.S., a long overdue move to stem the invasion.
“NGOs and non-profits serve as the foot soldiers for the Biden-Harris administration’s mass-migration policies by helping illegal aliens cross the border and stay here for years after illegally,” sponsor Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“My legislation, the BARRIER Act, will strip these organizations of their federal funding, which can be used to assist those who break federal law,” the pro-America congressman said.
The Blocking Assistance and Resources to Restrict Illegal Entry and Residency (BARRIER) Act is expected to be introduced by the Sunshine State Republican on Thursday with illegal immigration and the porous border being a top concern for voters less than five weeks before the most important election in the nation’s history.
Gaetz said that the bill would also penalize NGOs and non-profits that aid illegals who are already inside the country.
“The federal government should not be financing the destruction of its own country,” Gaetz said.
A loyal ally of former GOP nominee and former president Donald J. Trump, Gaetz is running for re-election to a fifth term representing Florida’s First Congressional District. He is a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Judiciary Committee.
The bill is co-sponsored by Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Eric Burlison (R-MO), Mary Miller (R-IL), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Andy Ogles (R-TN), and Randy Weber (R-TX) and could inspire a wider conversation on the role of organizations that profit off of the destruction of America.
If the bill is enacted, organizations including the American Immigration Council, CASA, and the National Immigration Law Center could be stripped of their federal grants.
The immigration crisis is a big problem for “border czar” Kamala Harris and her Democrats in the election, to the extent that her handlers have completely invented a fake version of the vice president to falsely portray her as being tougher on border security and criminal illegals than Trump.
Several high-profile stories have kept illegal immigration in the headlines before the election, including the 20,000 Haitians who have been relocated to Springfield, Ohio with some alleged to be snatching and eating cats and the takeover of Denver-area apartment buildings by a violent Venezuelan gang.
There are also near-daily reports of criminal foreign predators who are caught after engaging in criminal acts, including rape and the murder of victims like Laken Riley, a young Georgia nursing student who was brutally killed by a foreign thug while jogging on campus, as the Biden-Harris border bloodbath has been unleashed on America
The GOP lawmakers’ bill comes the week after an explosive report on ICE statistics revealing that tens of thousands of criminal illegals, including those who have been convicted of homicide and sexual assault, have been released into America where they are free to prey on innocent victims.
