Gov. Abbott swings back at ‘Hypocrite-in-Chief’: ‘Flying planeloads of migrants across the country’

On Christmas Eve, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s administration dropped off roughly 100 illegal aliens outside Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Washington, D.C., and now the left is raving mad about it.

Indeed, in a statement to The Washington Post, White House spokesperson Abdullah Hasan slammed the drop-off as somehow “cruel” and “dangerous.”

“Governor Abbott abandoned children on the side of the road in below freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve without coordinating with any Federal or local authorities. This was a cruel, dangerous, and shameful stunt,” he said.

“As we have repeatedly said, we are willing to work with anyone — Republican or Democrat alike — on real solutions, like the comprehensive immigration restructuring and border security measures President Biden sent to Congress on his first day in office, but these political games accomplish nothing and only put lives in danger” he added.

Congressional Democrats took some shots as well.

“Worthless @GovAbbott dropping off people with no money and no means on Christmas Eve in 15 degree weather near the VP’s residence. How Christian of you, Greg Abbott. Being a heartless POS isn’t going to make you the next Republican President,” Rep. Joaquin Castro tweeted.

“Governor Abbott claims to be a ‘pro-life Christian’ yet shows no regard for the lives of children left shivering in the freezing cold on Christmas Eve. Dropping off migrants in 18 degree weather is so cruel that it ought to be criminal,” Rep. Ritchie Torres added.

Look:

Abbott did not care for all these unkind words.

“The White House is full of a bunch of hypocrites, led by the Hypocrite-in-Chief who has been flying planeloads of migrants across the country and oftentimes in the cover of night. These migrants willingly chose to go to Washington, D.C., having signed a voluntary consent waiver available in multiple languages upon boarding that they agreed on the destination,” the governor’s own spokesperson, Renae Eze, said in response, as reported by The Independent.

“[T]hey were processed and released by the federal government, who are dumping them at historic levels in Texas border towns like El Paso, which recently declared a state of emergency because of the Biden-made crisis. Instead of their hypocritical complaints about Texas providing much-needed relief to our overrun and overwhelmed border communities, President Biden and Border Czar Harris need to step up and do their jobs to secure the border—something they continue failing to do,” she added.

Eze was 100 percent correct about the White House “flying planeloads of migrants across the country and oftentimes in the cover of night.”

“Planeloads of underage migrants are being flown secretly into suburban New York in an effort by President Biden’s administration to quietly resettle them across the region,” the New York Post reported last October.

“The charter flights originate in Texas, where the ongoing border crisis has overwhelmed local immigration officials, and have been underway since at least August, according to sources familiar with the matter.”

But the Biden administration didn’t just “traffic” illegals to New York. The administration also moved illegals to Florida, ironically enough.

Eze was also correct about the White House “failing” to secure the border. If anything, the administration has jumped through hoops to make the border 100 times less secure by undoing all of the Trump-era policies that’d successfully resolved the crisis.

The administration ended Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy and is now at this very moment trying to eliminate Title 42 as well.

The only reason Title 42 still remained active as of Wednesday was because of intervention by Republican attorneys general like Mark Brnovich of Arizona:

“The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed U.S. border officials to continue expelling migrants under a policy known as Title 42 indefinitely, granting a petition from Republican-led states to prevent the Biden administration from immediately ending the pandemic-related measure,” CBS News reported Tuesday.

“The high court decided to hear a request from 19 Republican-led states who were seeking to delay the end of Title 42, which was originally set to expire on Dec. 21 because of a lower court order that found the policy to be unlawful,” CBS News added.
