Gov. Katie Hobbs’ press secretary shares tweet about shooting ‘transphobes’ AFTER Nashville massacre

In the wake of the Nashville mass shooting by a “transgender man,” Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs’ press secretary posted a tweet invoking violence against those critical of transgender ideology.

The violent tweet consisted of a GIF of a character from the 1980 film “Gloria” brandishing two handguns.

Above the GIF read this horrifying caption: “Us when we see transphobes.”

Below is a screenshot of the since-privated tweet from press secretary Josselyn Berry:

The tweet prompted a massive backlash from both private citizens and elected lawmakers, with the Arizona State Freedom Caucus leading the charge.

“Less than 12 hours after the tragic shooting in Nashville by a deranged transgender activist @katiehobbs’ Press Secretary calls for shooting people Democrats disagree with. Calling for violence like this is un-American & never acceptable,” the caucus wrote.

Sen. Ted Cruz, a national lawmaker, also responded.

“This is horrific. After a deranged lunatic who was trans murdered 6 people at a Christian School—including three 9-year-olds—the press secretary for the current Dem governor of AZ tweets out a gif of an angry woman brandishing two guns. What the hell??” he tweeted.

Want to know who didn’t respond? The media. Not a single member of the national legacy establishment press thought it newsworthy enough to write or tweet about the press secretary of a Democrat governor effectively threatening violence against so-called “transphobes.”

To their credit, The Arizona Republic, a local newspaper, did cover it. The paper even obtained a quote from former Republican Gov. Doug Ducey’s then-chief of staff, Daniel Scarpinato, who reportedly said Berry’s tweet was “below the dignity of the office of the governor.”

“I don’t think anyone, no matter your political leanings, would look at that tweet — any sane, professional person would look at that tweet and say, ‘This is how I want one of the top advisers to the governor of my state to conduct themselves,'” he added.

This isn’t the only example of recent transgender violence or threatened transgender violence receiving zero attention from the press.

According to journalist Andy Ngo, the mass shooting in Nashville “comes amid a surge in #trans & far-left extremists making threats against Tennessee for banning the medical transitioning of minors.”

The shooting also comes only days ahead of a “Trans Day of Vengeance” scheduled to occur outside the Supreme Court on Saturday.

The event is being hosted by the Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN). The group describes itself as “a network of unapologetic activists fighting for Queer Liberation.”

“TRAN’s website was still promoting the event as of Tuesday, one day after a school shooting in Nashville,” according to Fox News.

The rest of the media have ignored the group’s scheduled “vengeance” day, preferring instead to write up stories about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican, being suspended on Twitter for trying to expose the group.

In fact, according to reports, anyone who tries to report on the “Trans Day of Vengeance” is being suspended.

Look:

The irony, as noted by journalist and commentator Mollie Hemingway, is that Twitter predictably has no problem with Berry’s blatantly violent tweet about “transphobes.”
