It would appear that leaving his role as an elected representative won’t provide Adam Kinzinger a reprieve from online mockery.
The Republican who took a position on the January 6 committee, placing him at odds with the majority of his party, has found himself a new home at CNN. He settled into his new role as a senior political commentator much to the delight of his critics who used the opportunity to bash him with gusto.

“Kinzinger joins CNN with extensive experience in GOP politics, having recently retired from the U.S. House of Representatives after serving six terms representing Illinois’ Sixteenth Congressional District,” CNN detailed in a statement. “Kinzinger most recently served on the high-profile House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol as well as the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Foreign Affairs Committee.”
Leading the charge was Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld, who decided to hit two birds with one stone.
“I can’t tell if CNN is a dude attracted to crazy women, or a woman attracted to destructive head cases. either way, this is gunna be hilarious!” Gutfeld tweeted.

Social media quickly followed his lead:
He never was a good speaker. Decent actor and crier I suppose.

You’ve got new material, Greg. It’s a win-win for your show.

And just like that….you have new material. CNN, the gift that keeps giving!

My expectation is that the guy at Discovery channel who is making a good-faith effort to salvage some value from this ‘CNN’ he bought will ultimately decide to shutter it. I doubt that’s a year away. Cable TV is not the future. Adam just hitched his wagon to a falling star.

Let’s be kind. JS. It may be a matter of time to see what’s he made of. Matter of time. Lets stand back and watch… it wont be long.

This may be the most predictable hiring in history

So now they have what like 4 generic commentators? Aiming high as usual CNN
