Fox News host Martha MacCallum slammed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the “Mistress of NIMBY” over her hypocritical attempts to keep illegal aliens out of her own neighborhood.
Reporting on Fox News’s “The Five” as a fill-in co-host this Tuesday, MacCallum noted that, in response to illegal aliens flooding his city, New York City Mayor Eric Adams had looked “to build a tent city in AOC’s District in the Bronx to house them.”
But Ocasio-Cortez “didn’t like that too much.”
“Ocasio-Cortez voiced her concern that it was in a flood zone, then Adams caved to her demands and now it’s being moved a few miles away to Randall’s Island,” MacCallum explained.
The Fox News host didn’t care at all for this hypocrisy from Ocasio-Cortez.

“I remember Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez going to the border and she was practically in tears about the toilets that were sinks, right. Now she is the Mistress of NIMBY. She’s like, ‘Not in my backyard. Do not let these people [in]!” she said.
“I am so blown away by the hypocrisy of this story, whether it’s Martha’s Vineyard or New York. I don’t care. I’m not even taking a side. Just stand by what you say, right?” she continued. “If you believe that these people are mistreated, you should be rolling out the red carpet in the Bronx and making sure that you are taking excellent care of them.”
But leftists, of course, seem to never ever stand by what they say and preach.
“Right now you’ve got the hypocrites who are like, we love all the immigrants, but don’t you dare bring them to the Bronx, don’t you dare bring him to Martha’s Vineyard, don’t you bring him here or there,” co-host Jeanine Pirro correctly noted.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently shipped 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard, a lavish island used as a vacation home by the rich and wealthy.
Stunningly, the governor’s decision sparked massive outrage from the left, who, after years of championing illegal migration, lost their minds at the prospect of illegal aliens taking up residence in their community.

Speaking Tuesday morning on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends First,” network contributor Tomi Lahren also slammed Ocasio-Cortez and those like her.
“I think it’s quite obvious that Democrats love the idea of illegal immigrants. They love the idea of them being in the shadows, but when they’re actually confronted with it and they have to explain it to their constituents why their shelters and their cities and their communities are being overrun, then suddenly want to make the problem go away,” she said.
“Maybe we are getting to the point and, I don’t want to be overly optimistic, but maybe we are getting to the point where Democrats are finally going to start looking at the Biden administration, and they’re going to say we need an actual solution because we’re being inundated, we are being overrun, the border cities and states are being inundated, and now these sanctuary cities are being inundated.”
Lahren added, “Everything sounds good on paper and in a tweet until you have to deal with it in real life. AOC is finding that out. These Democrat mayors are finding it out, and I hope to goodness, pretty soon, the Biden administration is going to find that one out too.”

The commentary from MacCallum, Pirro, and Lahren came a couple of days after the New York Daily News reported that Ocasio-Cortez “rips Mayor Adams’ [plan for] migrant tents in her district.”‘
“Immediately after appearing together in public for the first time Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took aim at Mayor Adams’ plan to erect a migrant tent camp in her district, charging that there’s a ‘better solution’ to be had,” the outlet reported on Sept. 30th.
“Ocasio-Cortez said she also ‘very much’ sides with ‘the sentiment’ of Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, who raised a number of concerns about the Orchard Beach site earlier this week, including poor transit access and susceptibility to flooding.”
Critics say it’s funny — and telling — how leftists like her always have an excuse handy whenever it comes to housing illegals, refugees, etc., in THEIR communities:

FYI, NIMBY is short for “not in my back yard,” and it’s a pejorative used to describe people like Ocasio-Cortez, not to mention the residents of Martha’s Vineyard.
