Gutfeld mocks canceled Fox host for saying ‘Charlie Kirk was no saint’

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld jabbed network colleague Howard Kurtz for trafficking in the “both sides” hoax-mongering that is being pushed by bad actors in the aftermath of the public murder of beloved conservative activist and podcaster Charlie Kirk.

On Sunday’s edition of “MediaBuzz,” which the network just announced will be canceled, longtime host Howard Kurtz parroted the lie that violence was “not unique” to Democrats or Republicans and seemed to insinuate that Kirk might have had it coming to him.

During a panel discussion, one of the show’s guests stated that “there is violent extremism on both sides. It is not proportionate. And in order to have an honest conversation of what led to this moment, that has to focus in part on the left.”

“I’m glad you mentioned that it’s not unique to one side or one party,” Kurtz responded. “Charlie Kirk was not a saint.”

“He said two years ago, ‘It’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so we can have the Second Amendment….”

It was another example of dishonestly cherry-picking Kirk’s quotes to portray him as the type of villain that Democrats and leftists insist that he was, one deserving of being put to death.

Kurtz and his outrageous remarks drew harsh criticism from X users, including from the Fox News funnyman, who fired back in his own inimitable way, drawing blood.

Gutfeld wrote, “maybe we can tune in next week for a clarification….oh wait…” A savage jab because there will be no next week for Howie, who will be replaced by Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich, who will host the new show “The Sunday Briefing,” which debuts next Sunday.

Other X users reacted to Kurtz’s remarks, which, at best, were mind-bogglingly insensitive at a time when Kirk is being mourned and hasn’t even been laid to rest.
