Guts from Musk’s brutal, red-hot tweet aimed at NBC hit Weinstein, Biden and Lauer

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and new owner of Twitter — assuming the deal goes through to completion — took a blow torch to NBC on Monday in a red-hot tweet response to a smear from one of the network’s talking heads, Mehdi Hasan.

In a segment defending the radical left in America as moral benefactors looking out for the best interests of the folks, as opposed to those on the right who “want to give us white supremacy and no democracy,” Hasan used a broad brush to paint Musk among the latter.

“We are living through an unspeakably dangerous moment,” Hasan opined on his show Sunday. “The pro-QAnon, pro-Neo Nazi faction of the Republican Party is poised to expand dramatically come the midterms. We’re just two years away from Donald Trump re-seizing executive power. If that happens, we may look back on this as a pivotal moment, when a petulant and not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the most influential messaging machines and just handed it to the far-right.”

The slanderous remark caught Musk’s attention, prompting him to initially respond by stating the obvious: “NBC basically saying Republicans are Nazis …”

In a follow-up tweet, he scorched the very earth beneath the network: “Same org that covered up Hunter Biden laptop story, had Harvey Weinstein story early & killed it & built Matt Lauer his rape office. Lovely people.”

This apparently being just the type of free speech that Musk has willingly put so much of his vast fortune at risk to uphold on the social media platform.

Megyn Kelly, who once worked at NBC and has been less than complimentary about that experience, responded to say of the Musk-owned platform: “So far I love the new Twitter.”

Kelly is sure to appreciate the humor in a later tweet from Musk that suggested he’s not one to trifle with — paying attention, NBC?
