‘Hackiest hack’ Jim Acosta fears ‘partisan hacks’ will take over CNN as a result of merger

The possibility of CNN falling under new ownership found Jim Acosta propagandizing the potential for “partisan hacks” to take over his former employer without a shred of irony.

“You lost me at ‘Journalist Jim Acosta’.”

Instead of showing up to work as his party dug in on another record-setting shutdown causing havoc at airports across the country, California Sen. Adam Schiff (D) sought to foster corporate media’s Trump Derangement Syndrome.

It was during a hearing convened alongside California Rep. Laura Friedman (D) at Burbank City Hall that talk of Paramount Skydance’s bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery set Acosta to fomenting fear about a hypothetical “chilling effect” that could fall on CNN should moderation be imposed at the network.

“… the other, I think, more disturbing aspect of this is that you basically have partisan hacks running CBS News,” Acosta said, as Paramount, which recently outbid Netflix toward taking over Warner Bros., had previously managed to acquire CBS. “And they, as I said earlier in my comments, shelved a piece on ’60 Minutes’ about the notorious CECOT prison. And we all remember those images of Secretary Kristi Noem standing in front of those cages filled with human beings. Some of them were migrants who were wrongfully detained by this administration and treated like animals.”

The decision against running the segment “Inside CECOT” about the Terrorism Confinement Center in El Salvador had seen leftists meltdown with some suspecting the reasoning — refusal by the Trump administration to be interviewed for the piece — had effectively presented a “kill switch” to block any story the White House didn’t want published.

Meanwhile, as Acosta also lamented the latest layoffs at CBS News, expressing his concern that the same fate would befall CNN if taken over by the company led by Larry Ellison’s son, David Ellison, he further leaned into his extremist rhetoric wheelhouse as he likened the attempted merger of the publicly traded companies to nations where authoritarian governments have seized control of the press.

The hearing also featured actor and producer Noah Wyle voicing his support for tax incentives for Hollywood a day after his Emmy Award-winning series “The Pitt” on HBO, a property of Warner Bros. Discovery, was slammed for “woke fan fiction” after an episode demonized federal immigration enforcement officers.

As for Acosta, the “insufferable … egomaniac” per an insider report to the Daily Mail following his departure from CNN having failed to move the network on an ultimatum over an attempt to shift him to the insomniacs’ time slot, social media reactions to his testimony couldn’t help but laugh at the spin as he attempted to frame his work and that of his likeminded peers as “journalism” when put up against 24 hour “news” networks with differing opinions.
