Hannity destroys Indian-origin Dem who wants to abolish ICE: ‘You sat on your a**!’

A foreign-born congressman with sights set on abolishing ICE was called on the carpet by Fox News host Sean Hannity over his record and antics.

“It’s people like you that don’t care about the American people.”

Thursday, Indian-born Michigan Rep. Shri Thanedar (D) added a new element to leftist attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when political theater was piled on dangerous rhetoric. Having introduced a bill seeking to abolish ICE, the businessman turned politician joined Fox News’ “Hannity” on Friday, only furthering allegations that federal agents are murdering U.S. citizens while disregarding blatant disrespect demonstrated by him and his congressional peers.

“You sat on your a**!” slammed the host as he reminded Thanedar that Democrats could not be bothered to stand during President Donald Trump’s March 4, 2025, address to Congress, as he’d rattled off the victims of illegal alien violence, including the murdered Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray. “A 12-year-old girl raped and murdered, and you couldn’t stand for them because you were playing politics. Is that right?”

“I would not stand for this president,” the congressman tried in response as Hannity reminded what those who stood had actually risen for,”You were standing for the families that lost little girls that were murdered by the illegal immigrants that you want to remain in the country. Is that true or false?”

Still, Thanedar attempted to demonize Trump, responding, “Look, this president was using a tragedy-”

“Have you ever picked up a phone?” interjected Hannity. “Cause there are thousands of Americans that have been murdered and raped and victims of violent crime. Have you ever spoken to any? Have you ever called them to offer your condolences?”

Claimed assent found Hannity insisting, “Name one family,” and, “Have you ever picked up the phone and called a victim’s family?” as the congressman insisted he was in regular communication with his constituents.

“My constituents are being terrorized by ICE,” he added before Hannity asserted on Thanedar’s behalf, “I’ll take that as a no.”

As had been reported, the Michigan lawmaker who’d previously sought to eliminate qualified immunity for ICE agents had gone a step further this week, calling for the agency to be abolished: “We do not need the murders, we do not need this paramilitary organization’s members on our streets, terrorizing U.S. citizens, terrorizing moms, terrorizing our children.”

The same congressman had attempted to impeach Secretary of War Pete Hegseth for strikes against vessels running drugs as well as against the president, in part for mass deportations.

While singing a new tune asserting that all illegal aliens who commit crimes should be deported, Hannity called out Thanedar’s voting record and noted, “You actually said this, and I could talk to you all night about the dumb stuff you say. You voted against the bill mandating the deportation for illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes. Can you explain that to me?”

Insisting that the bill had other questionable language in it, the lawmaker proceeded to accuse the Department of Homeland Security of lying about the injuries incurred by the federal agent struck by Renee Good’s vehicle, and who fatally shot her in defense on January 7 in Minnesota. After re-upping his position that ICE agents are murdering U.S. citizens, the congressman was once more slammed by Hannity, who expressed, “It’s people like you that don’t care about the American people.”

Meanwhile, the verbal jabs continued on social media, where users voiced their support of seeing Thanedar removed from the United States as well.
