Hannity unloads on ‘snowflake’ Republicans mad at him over his aggressive lobbying for Jim Jordan

Fox News host Sean Hannity offered “no apologies” in a stinging monologue defending his lobbying for Rep. Jim Jordan to be the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The host of “Hannity” marched headfirst into the topic at the end of his show opener Monday, mocking the “few sensitive little snowflakes in Congress” who reportedly took offense to his open and assertive push for Jordan, the Ohio Republican who is trying to get the needed votes to secure the gavel two weeks after Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., was voted out by Democrats and eight Republicans.

Hannity’s response came in the wake of a post by Axios reporter Juliegrace Brufke who claimed that moderate House Republicans were “growing increasingly irritated” by pressure being exerted by Jordan’s supporters, including Hannity’s producers.

Part of the email reportedly reads, “Sources tell Hannity that Rep xxxx is not supporting Rep Jim Jordan for Speaker. Can you please let me know if this is accurate?”

“And, if true, Hannity would like to know why during a war breaking out between Israel and Hamas, with the war in Ukraine, with the wide open borders, with a budget that’s unfinished why would Rep xxxx be against Rep Jim Jordan for speaker?” the emails continue.

Hannity was fired up about the complaints and barrelled into the topic on Monday.

“Why is it a shock to certain lawmakers and members of the media mob – all of you out there – that yours truly, a member of the press, is daring to ask elected representatives, the so-called public servants in this country, if and when they plan to wrap up this speaker battle and reopen the People’s House amid growing chaos both at home and abroad?” Hannity asked.

“I have a lot more to say on this later, but I do have to chuckle that a few of my questions, simple questions that I asked to some Republicans over the weekend about the importance of getting a speaker as soon as possible, showed we have a few sensitive little snowflakes in Congress,” he continued.

“Here’s the truth, they are the majority, they need to act like it,” Hannity said.

“No deals with the Democrats and that would mean, yeah, no temporary solutions either. Elect a speaker, get the House open, and start doing your job,” he added.

“The good news is the anonymous votes end tomorrow and we will know and we will see which Republicans understand what is the importance of this moment in history, not only for the Republican Party, for them to unite, them to lead by reopening the People’s House while we have war in the Middle East, and war in Europe, and open borders, and serious budget deadlines,” the Fox News host contended.

He concluded with a scorching reminder to his critics.

“I offer no apologies for doing my job and seeking answers from those elected public servants,” he said. “Again, keyword, servants to we the people”
