Harmeet Dhillon, DOJ Civil Rights head has parting words for woke walkouts

Justice Department Civil Rights Division head Harmeet K. Dhillon has no sympathy for “woke” DOJ employees who are bolting for the exits under President Donald Trump.

Speaking to Glenn Beck, Dhillon discussed the mass exodus of workers who refuse to follow Trump’s directives. She made it clear that there is no room for such people at the DOJ, and their presence will not be missed.

“Now, over 100 attorneys decided that they’d rather not do what their job requires them to do, and I think that’s fine,” she said, explaining that many of the employees have opted to take the generous “severance packages” that were offered.

“We don’t want people in the federal government who feel like it’s their pet project to go persecute police departments or persecute people praying outside abortion facilities,” she added. “The job here is to enforce the federal civil rights laws, not woke ideology.”

She also noted that the department will “run out of attorneys” if they don’t start hiring quickly.

During the interview, Dhillon revealed that the department will put a stop to Biden-era cases supporting transgender prison inmates.

“The prior administration’s arguments in transgender inmate cases were based on junk science,” she said. “The prior administration’s nonsensical reading of the Americans With Disabilities Act was an affront to the very people the statute intended to protect.”
