‘He had dinner’: Newly released transcript from Devon Archer torpedoes big lie about the Big Guy

Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner Devon Archer blew a hole in President Joe Biden’s “big lie” during his testimony to Congress on Monday.

That “big lie” is the claim that then-Vice President Biden didn’t attend a spring 2015 dinner with his son’s business partners. According to Archer, he in fact did.

“Devon Archer [testified] that the elder Biden ‘had dinner’ with him [Hunter] and several others, including ‘Vadym P. from Burisma.’ When Biden arrived, Archer said Biden ‘shook everybody’s hand’ and joined their conversation,” Fox News notes.

This admission confirms reporting from the New York Post. In 2020, the paper reported that Hunter had introduced his then-VP father to a top Burisma executive at a spring 2015 dinner.

Following the report’s publication, then-Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign spokesperson Andrew Bates denied the meeting had ever occurred.

“We have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place,” he said in a statement.

FYI, Bates now works as a White House spokesperson.

At the time, senior Biden adviser Michael Carpenter also dismissed the reporting.

“This is a Russian disinformation operation. I’m very comfortable saying that,” he said.

About a year later, The Washington Post published a report doubling down on the claim that Biden hadn’t attended the dinner but suddenly offering up the possibility that he’d “dropped by” real quick to say hi to Father Alex Karloutsos, one of Hunter’s guests.

“One mystery is why the drop-by was not listed on Joe Biden’s schedule. Not everything is always listed on a presidential or vice-presidential schedule. But the New York Post quotes from an email from Hunter Biden to Karloutsos’s son, Michael, on March 26: ‘Dad will be there but keep that between us for now,'” the Post reported.

“A White House individual with knowledge of Joe Biden’s schedules said the decision to see Father Alex was made late that day, after the schedule was completed. It’s unclear when the vice president learned Father Alex would be in town, but the decision was made that evening, the person added,” the Post added.

As noted earlier, Archer contradicted all this during his closed-door testimony Monday.

He “said that then-Vice President Biden was in attendance and was part of the dinner,” according to Fox News, which has obtained a transcript of the full testimony.

“The transcript shows that investigators had asked Archer about the dinner mentioned in the New York Post report, which happened at Washington, D.C.’s, upscale restaurant Cafe Milano in 2015,” Fox News notes.

“The story revolved around an April 2015 email from Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi, who had written to Hunter Biden the day after the dinner to thank him for inviting him to the nation’s capital and allowing him to meet his father and spend ‘some time together,’ according to Fox News.

“It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” Pozharskyi wrote.

“As we spoke yesterday evening, would be great to meet today for a quick coffee. What do you think? I could come to you [sic] office somewhere around noon or so, before or on my way to airport,” he added.

During Monday’s testimony, congressional investigators reportedly asked Archer who exactly had attended the 2015 dinner.

“That dinner was — I think we went over it before, but it was Vadym, Hunter, Joe, myself, Karim Massimov, a Greek Orthodox priest, maybe someone from World Food Programme,” he replied.

The Greek Orthodox priest was Karloutsos, who’d go on to receive a Medal of Honor from President Biden years later.

Investigators then asked what the senior Biden had done at the dinner.

“He had dinner. He had dinner. And there was — on that one, I believe the first one was, like, a birthday dinner, and then the second was — I think we were supposed to talk about the World Food Programme. So, there was some talk about that,” he responded.

This development comes a month after Fox News broke a story about Pozharskyi’s email correspondence with Hunter.

“My only concern is for us to be on the same page re our final goals. With this in mind, I would like us to formulate a list of deliverables, including, but not limited to: a concrete course of actions, incl. meetings/communications resulting in high-ranking US officials in Ukraine (US Ambassador) and in US publicly or in private communication/comment expressing their ‘positive opinion’ and support of Nikolay/Burisma to the highest level of decision makers here in Ukraine :President of Ukraine, president Chief of staff, Prosecutor General, etc.,” one email read.

“The scope of work should also include organization of a visit of a number of widely recognized and influential current and/or former US policy-makers to Ukraine in November aiming to conduct meetings with and bring positive signal/message and support on Nikolay’s issue to the Ukrainian top officials above with the ultimate purpose to close down for any cases/pursuits against Nikolay in Ukraine,” it continued.
