‘Heads should roll’: Politico embroiled in scandal behind Dems’ push to eliminate coal-fire pizzerias

Hands off our pizza, Politico!

Politico’s bad week keeps getting worse, and now it seems the leftist rag may have been working in co-hoots with big government to keep Americans from enjoying one of their favorite foods.

DOGE’s deep dive into wasteful spending at the USAID has uncovered all sorts of unpleasant surprises, not least of which is allegations that Politico was the recipient of $8 million of U.S. tax dollars believed to have been used to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop scandal.

This revelation came after news that Politico had missed payroll, which had many suspecting President Trump’s freezing of USAID funding might be the reason why.

Fast forward a day and the madness only grows.

“So in the uncovered documents related to USAID,” celebrity chef Andrew Gruel began in a video on X. “It turns out… your tax dollars… 29 million dollars went to Politico. And then Politco funded a study why pizza is bad for you.”

And here’s where it gets good.

“Then they sold that study for 60 million dollars to start a non-profit whose drive is to shut down New York City pizza ovens, to push New York City [pizzeria] owners out of business.”

Gruel then alleged that an additional $17.3 million was used to buy pizzas around the country only to “dump them in the ocean in the name of doing good for the climate.”

It sounds like a plot an indoctrinated 3-year-old might come up with, only it was allegedly our lawmakers and their allies.

This nugget of information only piled on the anger aimed at big government and Politico for deceiving the American people.

And what fun would X backlash be without some humor:

Amen!

But, what isn’t funny is the fact that the government was caught once again using taxpayer dollars against the taxpayers who were minding their own business and trying to live the American dream.

As BizPac Review reported last year, New York City had indeed made a move to ban coal-fire pizza ovens and was met with monumental resistance.

“You got rats, you got trash in the city, you got f**king cars, planes, private planes, you got people getting slashed on the subway, you got flash mobs robbing stores and you’re coming for coal oven pizzerias?” Barstool’s Dave Portnoy railed at the time.

Now it seems we might know why. Follow. The. Money.
