Veteran political reporter Mark Halperin has warned Democrats that Vice President Kamala Harris is on track to lose, not that they’re listening.
Appearing on the independent streaming platform 2Way this week, Halperin pointed to private polling data showing Harris losing big in November.
“What’s happening now with Kamala Harris is this is an experiment,” he began. “Can you win a short campaign with an untested candidate?”
“What I’m telling you is happening in private polling is she’s got a problem now. It’s not cheering for Trump. It’s not predicting [former President Donald] Trump will win. She’s got a problem,” he added.
Listen:
“I just saw some new private polling that’s very robust. Private polling,” says @MarkHalperin. Kamala Harris “is in a lot of trouble … In the conversations I’m having with Trump people and Democrats with data, they are extremely bullish on Trump’s chances in the last 48 hours.… pic.twitter.com/KF3tSM2sLo

He then issued a stark warning to Democrats who have their heads in the sand.
“For you Harris people on here complaining that we’re talking about problems in the Harris campaign, you’re welcome to put your head in the sand about it,” he said. “If you want to go watch MSNBC primetime and hear how great things are going for the Harris campaign, you’re welcome to do that. But if you want to understand what’s actually happening, we’re here to tell you, I just saw some new private polling today.”
“That’s very robust private polling. She’s in a lot of trouble. … The conversation I’m having with Trump people and Democrats with data are extremely bullish on Trump’s chances in the last 48 hours, extremely bullish. You think of the seven battleground states, which ones is Harris in danger of losing? I would say Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia. I’m not saying she’ll lose all six, but she’s in danger,” he added.
In another appearance on 2Way, Halperin further revealed that most of the Republicans he’s spoken with have declared the presidential race “effectively over” because they’re that confident Trump will win.
“[They believe] Trump is going to lock up the Sun Belt states, probably all four, but at least three, and then he’s going to win Pennsylvania, and that checkmates [Harris],” he said.
“They may be wrong. But there’s a not insignificant number of them who are quite confident of that. And the data they’ve seen on the absentees and the early votes and the voter registration … makes them more confident,” he added.
Listen:
“There are not an insignificant number of Republicans who say the race is effectively over,” says @MarkHalperin. “That, as I reported a month ago, Trump is going to lock up the Sunbelt states, probably all four, but at least three. And then he’s going to win Pennsylvania, and… pic.twitter.com/fs4XTtDskL

He also noted that he hasn’t spoken to “a single Democrat” who’s equally confident about Harris’ chances.
“That doesn’t mean Harris is going to lose, but it is an asymmetry in my reporting that comes from a variety of people connected to the campaigns and not connected to the campaigns,” he said.
The problem, of course, is that Democrats are so stuck on their high horse that they refuse to acknowledge any criticism, including this.
Observe how they responded to Halperin’s remarks:

Halperin is a liar who routinely makes up stories.

He’s just making it up! Legacy media folks like Mark are completely addicted to the horse race. They can’t help themselves.

Bullish after another scandal of giving hospital Covid devices to Putin during a pandemic? Yah, sure buddy. Your tweet is called laying the ground work for Trump calling it a rigged election like every other election he’s beenin because of the “polling”. Bullshit

None of this is remotely true. Harris campaign Internals are excellent. Current internals have 11% of Republicans plan on voting for Harris in PA, 9% nationally. She has the national at about 4.2-4.4%. I’m not sure what “Internal” polls he thinks he saw, but it’s not true.

Note what one leftist critic wrote: “Halperin is a liar who routinely makes up stories.”
That’s the exact same thing critics said about him when he predicted that President Joe Biden would drop out of the presidential race. Yet three days after he made the prediction, guess what happened?
