A new Fox News poll reportedly shows Hispanics souring heavily on President Joe Biden compared to how they’d felt about him in 2020.
According to the poll, whereas 63 percent of Hispanics were feeling Biden in 2020, only 46 percent of them are feeling him now. Conversely, former President Donald Trump’s support among Hispanics has risen from 35 percent in 2020 to 37 percent in 2024.
None of this bodes well for the current president.

Why have Hispanics soured on Biden? For a variety of reasons, including the economy.
Christian author Lydia Dominguez, a Hispanic woman, explained to Fox News that her people are “totally upset with what’s going on” economy-wise, what with prices constantly rising.
“I see people in my community that are going out and getting second and third part-time jobs. It’s incredibly sad,” she said.
“I wish we could afford as many vacations as Biden is taking, that’s for sure. You know, we’re definitely seeing just the middle class dwindling,” she added.
Tina Aviles, a member of Americans for Prosperity Texas, concurred.
“There was a time when things were just smooth and easy under some previous pro-growth economic policies. But this administration promised me a cafecito, but handed me instead a cup of Joe overflowing with inflation. And they hoped that I wouldn’t notice,” she said.
“What I am concerned about is prosperity, educational opportunity for my children, and to reignite the American dream so that my children have the same amazing future opportunities in this great country,” she added.
According to American University graduate J.P. Villasmil, it’s gotten so bad that Hispanics are now running from Biden and his party.
“There were some Hispanics moving away from the Democratic Party by the end of the Trump presidency, and now they’re running away,” he said.

Fox News isn’t the only outlet to draw attention to the Hispanic community’s declining support for the Democrat Party and its policies. The Associated Press ran a similar report in June.
“Hispanic voters, long a core constituency for Democrats, have reliably supported them based on substantive matters of policy, from health care to managing the economy, according to Pew Research Center surveys. But recent signs that Republicans have made inroads with those voters are adding to the sense that Democrats have work to do to maintain their advantage,” the AP lamented.
“Democratic candidates won 57% of Hispanic voters during last year’s midterms, a smaller percentage than the 63% of Hispanic voters Biden won in 2020 and the 66% of Hispanic voters supporting the party in 2018, when Democrats took control of the House, according to AP VoteCast, a sweeping survey of the national electorate.”
Similarly, 39 percent of Hispanic voters backed Republicans during the 2022 midterms, up from the 35 percent who supported Trump during the 2020 election.
The trend here is clear: Hispanics are becoming less Democrat and more Republican. Very, very slowly, mind you, but still.
Speaking with the AP, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, a Republican, attributed this switch in part to the Democrats’ embrace of “woke” garbage like the term Latinx versus the Republicans’ embrace of commonsense, everyday policies.
“They’ve created a tremendous opportunity for Republicans. A lot of the issues that Hispanics care about are issues that are being touted by the Republican Party,” he said.
A tremendous opportunity indeed.
“Yet even modest swings toward Republicans could mean millions more 2024 GOP votes since Hispanics made up 62% of total growth in the nation’s eligible voters between 2018 and last year’s election,” the AP notes.
Regarding the Hispanic community’s apparent distaste for “woke” nonsense, it probably doesn’t help that the Democrat Party’s media allies are attacking them for moving to the right by calling them “white supremacists”:

Axios also ran a recent report about the Hispanic community.
Titled “A small group of ranchers helps illustrate Latinos’ shift away from Democrats,” the story notes how, “Hispanic ranchers and farmers in northern New Mexico whose families have been in the region for centuries say they are losing confidence in Democrats over policies they say hurt their way of life.”
What sort of policies? Policies such as the Democrats’ positions on protecting endangered species.
“For example, protections for the meadow jumping mouse and the Mexican gray wolf mean the ranchers’ grazing and water rights are limited on their land,” Axios noted.
“Democrats have been slowly losing ground with Hispanics in rural areas because they have shaped their agenda around white and Latino college-educated voters, Democratic political consultant Sisto Abeyta tells Axios,” the piece continued.
