Among those killed by the flaming pile-up were a pregnant woman and her unborn baby. Seven others are battling various injuries caused by the wreck.
It appears as if the Mercedes didn’t even break before it smashed into an SUV, immediately sparking a fireball mere feet away from highly-flammable gas pumps. The flaming wreckage continued on to hit several other vehicles before coming to a stop.
The driver has been identified as a 40-year-old woman who, after having a fight with her boyfriend, was allegedly drinking at a nearby house. She survived the blazing crash but is in the hospital with serious injuries. Horrifying stories from bystanders detail a chaotic scene, with witness Veronica Esquival explaining how a child in its car seat landed on the ground at the gas station right in front of her.
“I was about to pump gas and all of a sudden, I hear all of the noises from all of the collisions, and then the fire explosion and I saw things, metal and things flying in the air. So, I just covered myself behind the pump,” she recalled. “All of the sudden, a baby literally flew from the middle of the intersection to the middle of the gas station and landed right on the floor in front of me. One of the workers came and saw me with the baby and took the baby out of my hands. Somebody tried to resuscitate the baby, but the baby was gone.”
A reported friend of the Mercedes driver claimed that she clearly didn’t know she was at a red light, because she “shot right through.”

Social media has not been kind to the woman suspected of causing the deadly wreck: (** Language warning)
Apparently the 40-year-old female drunk driver that caused the crash on La Brea and Slauson in Windsor Hills remains hospitalized, but is responsive. Whether she was upset over a guy or even suicidal, idc there’s no excuse. The victims didn’t deserve that. Throw the book at her.

Who else is awake because they are haunted by the La Brea fiery crash? As humans, we need answers. “She was drunk” is simply not enough. A child flew out, a pregnant woman died, 6 in total gone just like that. Because a woman was upset at her bf?

The fact that the driver in that la brea crash managed to survive just makes me feel that much more upset. Fuck the death penalty that shit’s too easy. She deserves to suffer in solitary confinement for life

That accident on Slauson/La Brea really puts into perspective how we should be thanking God every time we make it home safely, it’s sad that no matter how careful you are on the road it’s always some idiot speeding. Prayers out to those affected by the crash ❤️

Why haven’t they released the name of the driver in the La Brea crash incident??? To me it seems like they’re giving her a head start at scrubbing her socials and protecting herself. Release her name and mug just like anyone else!!

Can the friends of the La Brea crash also get punished for watching the woman drink and then LET HER GET BEHIND THE WHEEL
