Hospital staff being told by NHS that colonialism is to blame for imposing male-female divide on society

The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK is reportedly instructing staff that colonialism is to blame for imposing the male-female divide on society, sparking a call for an urgent review of its guidance on gender issues.

Colonialism has become the favorite whipping boy for leftists and the NHS is complicit as current scholarly papers indicate.

Adding to that premise, official hospital policies obtained by the Daily Mail allegedly contend that “adults who take hormone therapy are going through puberty, and that men who identify as women can be lesbians.”

The Daily Mail conducted an investigation that found “people who only occasionally present as women are allowed into female-only wards, midwives are being warned they can harm trans parents by describing them as mothers and 999 operators have been told to ask for emergency callers’ pronouns rather than risk misgendering them.”

A former science teacher and a current Tory MP Miriam Cates, stated, “It is a travesty that so many NHS trusts are now engaged in divisive political activism and are promoting extremist political views about gender theory – views that have no basis in reality and are a threat to the safety of women.”

“It is indefensible for our National Health Service to deny the reality of biological sex, and it undermines public trust in the whole medical establishment. Those within the NHS who are pushing this destructive agenda are failing in their duty of care and must be held to account,” she charged.

The head of Biology Matters at the Policy Exchange think-tank, Lottie Moore, also clapped back at the policies, noting, “The NHS should not be rewriting biology textbooks and presenting them as fact. These claims are not scientific and should not be presented to patients as such. Gender identity beliefs are simply beliefs, and the NHS must understand this.”

The Daily Mail claims to have analyzed dozens of NHS hospital trust policies. The media outlet found that not only does the NHS advise on how to handle staff transitioning and care for transgender patients, but they also commonly claim that gender theories are scientific facts, not suppositions.

Many medical personnel now entirely avoid saying whether people are born male or female. They now point out that doctors simply “assign” sex at birth.

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust goes so far as to describe sex as “assigned by medical practitioners at birth based on observed physical characteristics,” according to the Daily Mail.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust ridiculously asserts that “When we are born a medical professional attributes our sex based on outward appearance. But that does not always mean our gender aligns with it. Being transgender is not a choice.”

The guidance that is published internally by both Sheffield and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust goes on to claim, “Globally, many cultures recognize more than two genders. As with sexuality, in the West binary categories dominate (male/female, gay/straight).”

“In modern-era Western history, these have been imposed on a human experience which is not binary through colonial incursion, when the values of one culture were imposed on another culture,” the policy charges.

According to the Daily Mail, “No evidence is provided for this assertion.”

South East Coast Ambulance Service guidance also goes on to declare, “The concept of a ‘normal’ gender expression associated with a binary man/woman divide is, in itself, questionable.”

The guidance also uses terminology that includes the definition of “cisgender.”

The ambulance trust notes, “Those who are cisgender have little or no discordance between their gender identity and their gender role or sex anatomy. These factors are well aligned in a cisgendered person. Trans people who have completed transition to the point that they are comfortable may then be regarded as cisgender.”

The insanity continues at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which claims that “Trans staff who have recently started hormone therapy will be experiencing puberty.”

A number of NHS trusts are now asserting that transgender women can be lesbians despite being born biologically male.

According to the Daily Mail, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust states that gender identity is unrelated to sexual orientation, “An individual may change from a man to a woman and may also be a lesbian.”

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is also spouting this nonsense, “It is important to understand that trans people come from all walks of life, religious and cultural backgrounds and therefore have multiple identities. For example, a trans woman may also be lesbian, disabled, and a Christian.”
