House Dem threatens Noem, they’re coming for her when Trump’s gone

Among the verbal attacks Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem endured during her Senate testimony was a threat from a Democrat vowing accountability when President Donald Trump is no longer in office.

Rep. Becca Balint, the first woman and openly LGBTQ+ person to represent Vermont, tore into Noem during her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee this week, grandstanding about a day when Democrats take back control of government and come after those in the current administration.

“One day, Kristi Noem won’t have Trump to hide behind,” Balint wrote in a post sharing the video clip. “She will be held accountable for the terror she and her employees have unleashed on the American people.”

Balint raged that Americans “will get accountability” after questioning the DHS chief about agents allegedly not complying with court orders.

“This conduct alone is impeachable, and I want you to know that Americans will get accountability for the damage that you have done, for the lawlessness of aspects of DHS, for killing innocent Americans, for terrorizing children,” Balint said.

The Vermont Democrat told Noem, “You’re the secretary of DHS — for now.”

“And you think you’re immune from accountability. But I promise you this — one day, he is not going to be president anymore,” Balint spewed, referring to Trump.

“He is not going to be in charge. And when that day comes, we will still be here. And we will still be seeking accountability. And in hearings like this, we are going to continue to prove your guilt,” she declared.

Social media users weighed in on the exchange, with many noting that Noem should not “be subjected to this kind of hysterical abuse.”

“The Democrats are telling you how dictatorial they plan to be,” one X user noted.

“Imagine if Democrats cared this much about the victims of criminals,” the RNC Research account posted.
