Houthis claim they attacked US carrier while getting pummeled: ‘Why does this look like a Saturday Night Live skit?’

The Houthis are desperately trying to maintain a semblance of control after taking a beating from the United States Navy, but they aren’t fooling anyone.

The U.S. military’s “peace through strength” era is back, according to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who spoke to Fox News about the latest round of strategic airstrikes against the Yemeni rebels.

“By the way, to the Houthis, this isn’t a one-night thing,” Hegseth vowed. “This will continue until you say ‘We’re done shooting at ships, we’re done shooting at assets.'”

But this spanking didn’t sit right with the Houthis, who are now acting out with all the angst of a teenager who got told they can’t go to a Taylor Swift concert with their friends. On Sunday it was reported that the rebel group attempted to target the USS Harry S. Truman with missiles and drones, which were reportedly shot down “well before” they could actually threaten the ship.

Despite the embarrassing showing that would leave any self-respecting rebel faction crawling home with their tail between their legs, the Houthis actually took credit for the attack.

The mockery on X was swift and severe:
