Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) is not taking threats of his arrest very well.
It started when state Attorney General Ken Paxton announced his intent to “take action” against O’Rourke and his group Powered By People, for reportedly continuing to raise money for the Democrats who fled the state to stonewall a redistricting vote. Paxton posted to his X account saying, “It’s time to lock him up.”

O’Rourke responded by sharing the post and attaching a clip of a recent speech where he promised the party will do “whatever it takes” to claw back power from the Republicans. He also accused Paxton of “lying” in the filing.

This was not the first time that O’Rourke had encouraged the left to abandon the classic rules of politics in order to gain power. In another f-bomb-laden snippet, the former lawmaker encourages his party to fight back against the GOP and “win some f**king power.”
