ICE will be at the Super Bowl after Bad Bunny tapped for halftime show

The NFL shocked fans this week when the league announced that MAGA-hating, pro-illegal alien rapper Bad Bunny has been selected to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, continuing the league’s embrace of left-wing politics.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, eagerly accepted the prominent gig despite skipping the U.S. for his upcoming world tour because he didn’t want U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) patrolling his concerts, looking to scoop up illegal aliens who might be in attendance.

The cross-dressing Puerto Rican, who has won multiple Grammy awards, explained his change of heart over domestic performances when he made an exception to headline the show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, in February.

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown … this is for my people, my culture and our history,” the 31-year-old entertainer said in a statement after the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation revealed that he’d been picked for the Super Bowl.

Just before the news broke, the rapper teased his fans with a social media post in Spanish. “I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States,” he wrote.

But if Bad Bunny is hoping that Levi’s Stadium is going to be an ICE-free zone, he’s badly mistaken, with those hopes melting away after Department of Homeland Security (DHS) adviser Corey Lewandowski said that federal immigration enforcement will have a presence at the big game.

“There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,” he told conservative commentator Benny Johnson on Wednesday’s edition of his podcast.

“We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to how it used to be,” Lewandowski said.

In a recent interview with i-D Magazine, the entertainer explained that at least part of his decision to not perform in America was because “the issue of — like, f**king ICE could be outside [my concerts]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

“It’s so shameful that they’ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game,” Lewandowski – who is obviously not a fan of Bad Bunny – told Johnson.

“I was at the Super Bowl last year with President Trump. I had the chance to be in Louisiana in his box and watch the game, and got to enjoy that,” he said. “But listen, we should be trying to be inclusive and not exclusive. There are plenty of great bands and entertainment people out there who could be playing at that show that would be bringing people together and not separating them.”

“I don’t care if it’s a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else,” Lewandowski added. “We’re going to do enforcement everywhere. We are going to make Americans safe. That is a directive from the president. If you’re in this country illegally, do yourself a favor: go home.”

Bad Bunny’s selection will be the fourth time in five years that the NFL has showcased vulgar rappers at its premier event, a sad testament to the “woke” politicization of a league that used to be a unifying institution for all Americans before Commissioner Roger Goodell got hold of it.
