Fox News host Dagen McDowell compared the House Jan. 6 committee hearing to a reality show and concluded the “boring” display came up short.
Discussing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s primetime spectacle touted as must-see television by Democrats, McDowell and “The Five” co-hosts minced no words in excoriating the televised hearing.
McDowell’s take included a rather colorful quip about Rep. Adam Schiff, the California Democrat who has been making the mainstream media rounds to push his party’s propaganda.
“We’ve got five more of these hearings,” McDowell said, contending that Democrats are rolling out the theatrics of an event from more than 15 months ago because it’s to “maybe, prevent the gross shellacking that the Democrats are gonna get in November. Maybe it won’t be quite as bad.”

“You said ‘reality show.’ I am a voracious consumer of reality television. And James Goldston – that ABC News dude who they brought in – he ain’t putting last night on his resume,” she added, referring to the former president of ABC News who was tapped by Democrats to produce the television spectacle.
“He had Liz Cheney talking over graphics and photos and tossing to video. It was intensely boring,” she said, continuing the comparison to reality television shows.
“And then you always want to have somebody likable, relatable who’s fierce in a reality show cast. Who do we have on that panel, on that committee? Jamie Raskin? We want to watch him for five more episodes? He wanted to get rid of the electoral college when Al Gore lost,” McDowell noted.
“Or my personal favorite: Adam Schiff. He peddled the collusion theory for so many years and talked about, ‘There’s more than circumstantial evidence in plain sight of the Russia collusion hoax,’” she said of the chair of the House Intelligence Committee who is one of the select committee members.
“I would rather be locked in a port-o-john than have to watch Adam Schiff for five episodes of anything,” she quipped.
“I dunno about that,” former GOP Rep. Sean Duffy reacted off-camera. “A port-o-john?”
