‘If desperation was a video’: Joe Biden’s latest PR gimmick so cringeworthy it’s stunning

On Super Bowl Sunday, the Biden-Harris campaign joined TikTok after President Joe Biden signed into law legislation that banned the app from most federal devices in 2022.

On Monday, Biden shared a video of him sitting down with a black family in North Carolina, talking basketball and eating chicken strips — Biden actually had a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a “black and white” shake, which is vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, according to WRAL.

Both efforts stem from an effort to make the 81-year-old cognitively challenged president more relatable to young people and appear less like a cadaver. This could also explain why Democrats are desperately seeking to glom onto all the attention on pop singer Taylor Swift.

Casual Biden is sharing a meal he picked up from the fast-food chain Cook Out with Eric Fitts and his two teenage sons, Christian and Carter. Fitts factors in because he was among the Americans who had some student loan debt erased as a result of executive actions.

Carter talks to Biden about playing AAU basketball at his father’s urging, and Christian talks about a program he’s involved in at school.

“My favorite thing is this business academy I’m in,” the high schooler said. “We travel. We go to N.C. State, Wake Tech. We went to this small dry-cleaning business. And it’s just cool. It’s a great experience.”

Biden awkwardly says to the boys about their father, “You know how much this guy loves you? You just feel it, can’t you? Your dad would jump in front of a bullet for you.”

In a quirky follow-up, he jokes, “By the way, we dads are hard to raise. Once you’re a teenager, we’re hard to raise. So you got to be patient with us, you know what I mean?

Biden was in Raleigh last month to speak about broadband internet and economic development, and stopped by Cook Out afterwards. The RNC sarcastically noted that the president was rewarding himself for giving a quick speech.

While the Biden campaign touts the president’s economic record, Republican state Sen.Phil Berger (R) tweeted with receipts: “Thanks to #Bidenomics, a Cook Out tray costs 28% more than it did three years ago when Biden had his previous photo op.”
