Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) drew an angry reaction after she accused Israel of committing a war crime over the Jewish nation’s retaliation against the Hamas terrorists who slaughtered hundreds of Israeli citizens in a savage attack over the weekend.
The Somali-born congresswoman, a charter member of the cadre of mouthy left-wing Democrats known as “The Squad,” followed up on her call for an immediate ceasefire to protect the evildoers who massacred over 200 revelers at an outdoor music festival, rained down thousands of rockets in civilian areas and butchered people in their own homes, with a lengthy tread on X in which she called for the U.S. to cut off aid to Israel.
“Palestinians have few recourses for justice and accountability. Attacks by the IDF and settlers against Palestinians are regularly met with impunity. Efforts to seek justice in international courts are stonewalled by the Israeli government, with U.S. support,” she wrote. “As the world is condemning Hamas’s attacks, we must also oppose an Israeli military response that has already taken the lives of hundreds of Palestinians, including nearly two dozen children.”

“The Israeli Defense Minister has called Palestinians ‘human animals’ and promised to cut off all electricity, all food, and all fuel to civilians in Gaza,” the ethically-challenged Democrat wrote. “This is collective punishment, a war crime, and the U.S. should oppose any violations of international law if we truly support a rules-based international order.”

“Instead of continuing unconditional weapons sales and military aid to Israel, I urge the United States at long last to use its diplomatic might to push for peace,” Omar concluded.

Omar’s thread sparked outrage from other X users, including Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) who slammed his left-wing colleague.
“Israel was just brutally attacked by terrorists, funded by Iran, and you want to cut off funding and military aid and equipment. You are out of your mind and unfit to serve in the House of Representatives. This is why you were removed from the Foreign Affairs committee,” the congressman wrote.

You are a horrible, awful antisemite.
Shame on you.

So you think the terrorists should be allowed to hide in Gaza with no repercussions?

If Hamas cared about the children, they would move them to a different location or set up their bases in locations that weren’t near civilian homes, schools, hospitals are. The country wouldn’t be in poverty if their economy didn’t rely on terrorism & hate. https://t.co/Ot8kFMoikp

In a sign of just how offensive Omar and her fellow “Squad” members have been since the barbarism by Hamas, even GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie took a break from his nonstop bashing of former President Donald J. Trump to call them out.
During an appearance on Fox News’ “America Reports” on Monday, the former New Jersey governor was asked by anchor John Roberts about quotes from Omar and her anti-Semitic cohorts.

“These are people who have no business, absolutely no business, being listened to or respected regarding what America’s role in the world is and what Israel’s role is as the only democracy in the Middle East,” the candidate said.
“Look, you cannot have terrorists like Hamas launch the type of attack against innocent civilians that you saw launched this weekend, and then say it’s time now, after those murders, for de-escalation and a lack of violence. Where were their calls for that while this was going on?” Christie asked.
“These folks are Israel zealots, they are against Israel, they are pro-Palestinian folks who believe any action by a Palestinian is justified, and I just ignore what they have to say,” he added.
