Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) appears to be unconcerned by Rep. Nancy Mace’s (R-SC) resolution barring foreign-born politicians.
When asked by Fox News Digital about the resolution that would effectively remove her from Congress, due to Omar being born in Somalia and becoming a citizen in 2000, the lawmaker seemed anything but worried.

“Can I ask you about Nancy Mace? She proposed a resolution that would bar foreign-born individuals from serving in Congress. What do you think of that? She mentioned you as an example. What’s your response to that?” the reporter asked.
“Good luck to her,” Omar said flatly.
“You don’t think it’ll go anywhere?”
“No,” the congresswoman responded.

I completely agree with this. I don’t understand why foreigners, particularly someone with an accent like her, with serving Congress. Obviously, she has conflicting loyalties. I think she had a video recently regarding Somalia, where she spoke about her loyalties to Somalia

Nothing will happen. Mace will be running for office, this is one of several proposals she has out there. I agree Omar needs to go, but, nope, nothing will happen.#replacenancymace – don’t be fooled folks, she’s bad juju, not to be trusted AT ALL with your vote.

I DO NOT believe if you are foreign born, you should be able to run for ANY office! just like the presidency, we dont need outside influence making policy in this country of OURS!!!!! Especially SCAM ARTISTS!

If you represent the American people, your first and only loyalty should be to America. Nancy Mace is finally pushing to ensure that those in power are 100% committed to our nation no more dual loyalties.

They should do a bill that if you have dual citizenship you can’t run for anything

Probably would need a change to the Constitution. “Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen for at least 7 years.Age: At least 25 years old.Residency: Must be an inhabitant of the state they represent at the time of the election.”
