Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is glowing with pride over her daughter’s recent junket to Cuba, where she joined other left-wing activists in a show of support for the embattled country’s communist regime.
23-year-old Isra Hirsi proved that the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree when the young radical participated in the “Nuestra America Convoy” comprised of young socialists from the U.S. and Europe who descended on Havana last week in a show of solidarity for the government, which is being targeted by the Trump administration for regime change.
The “Squad” member and proud mom took to X to praise her progeny and express her own support for the effort.

“I am incredibly proud of Isra and everyone who made the trip to Cuba. They took tons of aid to make sure the people of Cuba knew that there are so many people across the world who stand in solidarity with them. Cuba has always sent aid to countries in need and has trained thousands of physicians across the world, including my childhood physician,” wrote the hijab-swaddled congresswoman.
“@israhirsi is more than just my daughter; she is a brilliant young leader who has always worked hard to advocate for a more just world,” Omar continued. “She inspires me and so many people with her leadership and dedication. I am forever fortunate to have her as my daughter but I am even more fortunate to know her as the unflinching justice warrior for justice she is.”
The youngster whose X bio describes her as an “angry black girl” acknowledged that she was on Castro Island in response to a New York Post article mocking the virtue-signaling leftists for staying in swanky hotels while the Cubans they profess to be saving are living in squalor, starving, and deprived of such basic necessities as medicine and electricity.

Omar was savaged by X users over her support for the Cuban commies.

It would have been much, much worse if the ethically-challenged Somalian hadn’t done a Hillary Clinton and limited who could reply.
Trump recently told reporters in the Oval Office that he will have the “honor of taking Cuba,” ending decades of misery for its victims.
“Whether I free it, take it, I think I could do anything I want with it, if you want to know the truth. They are a very weakened nation right now,” he said.
The president has been a frequent critic of the “Squad” member, suggesting that she should be sent back to Somalia.
Omar also proudly supported her daughter’s participation in anti-Israel protests at Columbia University because when it comes to anti-Semitism, it’s all in the family – just like communism.
