In case you missed the Trump townhall with Sean Hannity last night…

Former President Donald Trump appeared in Pennsylvania late this Wednesday for a town hall with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

During the town hall, he addressed everything from Vice President Kamala Harris’ flip-flop on fracking to her accusation that Trump’s VP pick, J.D. Vance, is somehow “weird.”

“Weird”

Asked at one point about Harris’ VP pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Trump said he is the weird one, not Vance.

“There’s something weird with that guy,”  he began. “J.D. is not weird. He’s a solid rock. I happen to be a very solid rock. We’re not weird. We’re other things perhaps, but we’re not weird. But he’s a weird guy. He walks on the stage … there’s something wrong with that guy.”

“And he called me weird. And then the fake news media picked it up. That was the word of the day: weird, weird, weird. But we’re not weird guys. We’re very solid people, and we want our country to be great again. It’s very simple,” he added.

Fracking

After Hannity played a video contrasting Harris speaking about fracking first in 2020 and then later in 2024, Trump pounced.

“She wants no fracking in Pennsylvania,” he said, citing her 2020 remarks. “She wants no fracking. And she said it a 100 times: There will be no fracking, there will be no fracking, there will be no fracking. Then just recently, she said, ‘Yes, I could approve fracking.'”

And then the corporate propaganda press ate up her new fracking stance without even questioning what had inspired it.

He later doubled down on the fracking attack.

“You have 500,000 jobs,” he said. “Think of that. It’s your biggest business. And you get a big majority of your income from fracking, and you have somebody that’s not gonna allow fracking. She’s not going to allow it. You can’t take the chance.”

“You have no choice. You’ve gotta vote for me. You’ve gotta vote for me, even if you don’t like me. You can sit there and say, ‘I can’t stand that guy, but there’s no way I’m voting for her,'” he added.

Notes

Hannity at one point mocked Harris’ recent softball interview with CNN, which as previously reported lasted only 16 minutes. In response, Trump accused Harris of having used notes during the interview.

“I’ll tell you something else: If you watch that interview, she had notes,” He said. “That means she knew the questions, and she had notes.”

“She kept looking down and up. Nobody wants to cover it. I know all about notes. It’s alright if people know that. But she wasn’t supposed to have notes. So after a question, she looks down. She had notes,” he added.

Border Crisis

Trump also addressed the border crisis that’s plagued the Biden-Harris administration for nearly four full years.

“We never could imagine we’d have borders where 20 million people have poured into our country,” he said. “Many criminals from all over the world are coming into our country. They’re coming from jails, not from just South America but from all over the world.”

“They’re coming in at levels nobody’s ever seen. They’re coming from prisons. … They’re emptying out their prisons and jails. They’re emptying out their mental institutions and insane asylums. They’re emptying the sickest people, and they’re emptying it all into the United States,” he added.

World War III

Trump made it clear that under his leadership, there would be no World War III. The same can’t necessarily be said if Harris is elected to office.

“I understood nuclear for a long time — the power of nuclear weapons” he began. “You need a president that’s not going to take you into war. We won’t have World War III when I’m elected. But with these clowns that you have in there now, you’re going to end up having World War III, and it’s going to be a war like no other.”
