Incredible scenes as Venezuela releases political prisoners after Trump’s demand

Incredible scenes have been emerging from Venezuela following the capture of its quasi-president, Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuelan authorities began releasing a “significant” number of political prisoners on January 8, reportedly in response to U.S. demands. The Venezuelan government framed the release as a “unilateral gesture” to “seek peace,” according to numerous reports.

President Trump praised the move as a “very important and smart gesture” as it aligns closely with his previous demands and public statements.

Clips of the emotional scenes showed up on X, where they generated a lot of buzz and goodwill:

The former prisoners reportedly consisted of activists, journalists, foreigners, and prominent opposition leaders.
